About this deal

First of all I love Batman saying, “Er… Good Evening, Gentleman,” like a stand-up comic in front of a tough crowd. Batman proved a hit character and received his own solo title in 1940, while continuing to star in Detective Comics. Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, there is a strange and unfortunate kind of continuity between this Catwoman’s introduction and Miller’s re-imagining. established that at least some of the events of the radio series also took place on Earth-Two, those appearances are included in this chronology, although some aspects of the radio series continuity are at odds with both that of Earth-Two and that of the contemporary comic books. And this early version, though extremely rough around the edges, is compelling to me for that deep in the night quality.

Deprived of many of his technological resources, Batman fights to reclaim the city from legions of gangs during 1999's " Batman: No Man's Land". Certain 'ideas' are being used in '' The New 52'' to give creative back-story, so Barbara was shot by The Joker, but The Killing Joke as a book does not exist.working (not always directly) for companies that rarely printed creator credits and whose record-keeping was often fragmentary, haphazard, or nonexistent. presented as a flashback within the story, the entry for that event is placed on the chronology at the time the event occurred and the issue and publication date references are shown in parentheses. Unlike some other Golden Age and Silver Age DC heroes, the Earth-One and Earth-Two Batmen were different versions of the same character, with the same name, the same origin, the same modus operandi, and most of the same friends and foes. She oversaw the launch of two seminal imprints, Vertigo and Milestone, and under her leadership, DC became known for addressing critical issues of domestic violence, sexual orientation, gun violence, homelessness, racism and AIDS in the company’s mainstream titles.

segued into '' Final Crisis'' (also written by Morrison), which saw the apparent death of Batman at the hands of Darkseid.Finger's fondness for pulp fiction and movies influenced his plots and writing style for comic books. Batman appeared in one story of that length in each issue of Detective Comics and World's Finest Comics (through 1954, after which he shared the main story with Superman) and three to five stories in each issue of Batman.
