In an alternate timeline, the battle of Mission City turned out very differently—Megatron killed Sam, captured Optimus, and obtained the AllSpark. The Decepticons proceeded to conquer North America, and by the start of 2008, had begun a plan to cyberform the Earth using the AllSpark's energies. Released in the fourth wave of Dark of the Moon Legion Class figures, Cyberverse Soundwave transforms into a fully- licensed Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. He has Sonic Cannons sculpted on his arms and his right hand allows him to grip Cyberverse accessories. Discovering that the Decepticons were increasing their strength through artifacts from the Cheetos galaxy, Bumblebee and the Autobots recruited your help to acquire the power-enhancing objects. Cheetos/Transformers: Age of Extinction Revolution, Part 1 Believed dead, Bumblebee and the Autobots hid themselves on Cybertron, where they readied their final weapon against the Decepticons: a teleportation system that would trap the Decepticons on the dead planet, then teleport it off to the far reaches of the universe. When all was in readiness, the Autobots returned to Earth; Mikaela was not happy to find out they had not told her of their plan, but Bumblebee denied that it was because they didn't trust her—they had simply had to minimize any possible exposure. In the final battle that followed, Bumblebee tagged Megatron with the teleport tech, and the Decepticon leaders and his followers were soon exiled forever. As a result of this, his screen time and presence was severely underwhelming, overall was given very little to do till his demise.Although unexplained in the films, Bumblebee's vehicle mode changes appearance subtly between Transformers and Revenge of the Fallen. This is probably because of product placement: Bumblebee's old alternate mode was an unavailable concept Camaro, while in Revenge he uses what seems to be the new Z/28 Camaro... whose mass production was later canceled. Oops. However, it is perfectly reasonable to assume that it is the Camaro ZL1 that uses the same design.

It was they who found the areas of the DataNet that Alpha Trion had overlooked and not deleted, revealing the existence of Dark Energon on Trypticon Station. It was he who remembered the Geosynchronous Energon Bridge below Crystal City that allowed for the mass transportation of Dark Energon between Cybertron and Trypticon. And it was the evidence he got from Rumble and Frenzy when they infiltrated Crystal City that revealed the existence of the Plasma Energy Chamber and its two Code Keys, which enabled Megatron to poison the Core of Cybertron.
