It’s no secret that I love David Baldacci’s novels – particularly his more recent work including the Amos Decker, Atlee Pine and Aloysius Archer series. While I do love the series work that Baldacci has developed, I cannot help but enjoy some of his individual books that provide something refreshing for fans. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more to this series and I’d certainly be happy to meet Devine again. With a high, relaxed waistline, voluminous legs and gloriously deep pockets, this easy, breezy outfit-in-one is the perfect combination of comfy and effortlessly cool. I had promised myself that I would never read another book by Baldacci but, weak-willed guy that I am, I was hooked by the high ratings and interesting summary so. Was Sara involved in the suspected shady dealings in the company or was she murdered for more personal reasons? After work that evening, Devine begins his investigation of Ewes’ death by investigating where she died on the 52nd floor of the building.Baldacci hits the mark with this piece, intertwining some military background with a crime thriller that is sure to keep the reader up well into the night. I always have high expectations when I open a Baldacci novel and I was not disappointed by this one. Paul and the Church, who acted as his scribe; but, as seems to have been sometimes his habit (see especially the closing words of the Galatian Letter), the last pleading reminder was added by the hand of the Apostle himself.
