About this deal

Executive Editor of the series, Fi Cotter Craig said that her team were all blown away by everything The Majestic Line offered us on our Inner Hebrides cruise; the scenery, the food, the crew, the cosiness of the Glen Tarsan and as for the weather - wow. Even Jane said it was one of her favourite cruises ever and she's been on a few - there was something utterly magical about the whole experience

Jane McDonald has now officially handed over the baton to comedian, writer and presenter Susan Calman for her new series Cruising with Susan Calman, where she also visits and experiences a wide array of international destinations on some of cruise’s most exciting ships! Jane McDonald - A Live Christmas Concert Special (15 November 2019) (No. 2 in the DVD music charts)Melbourne is Australia’s second-largest city and is considered to be the country’s cultural capital thanks to its countless art galleries, museums and live music scene. The culinary scene is also buzzing here. Each episode follows Jane cruising in a new location, with a wide variety of cruise lines – from the luxurious Silversea Cruises and river cruising with AmaWaterways, to adventure cruising in Iceland, and with the family-friendly MSC Cruises. Follow as she gets to know every detail of these varying cruise types, and let Jane help you decide which is best for you. Series Four, which featured Silversea and Holland America Line, broke new records, pulling in the highest numbers in the history of the show, with a whopping 2.4 million viewers and a 10.8 per cent audience share. Collectively, the fourth series of the programme garnered an average of 2.1 million viewers per episode -- 9.4 per cent audience share. In the first episode of the series Jane takes viewers to the breathtaking Great Lakes of America and Canada. For the first stop she visits Cleveland, before heading to the iconic Niagara Falls. Along the way she enjoys plenty of exhilarating activities, including zip-lining across the falls and jet boating in Montreal. Jane cruises around Lake Michigan on MIV Victory, a small Victory Cruise Line ship. Episode 2 - Mediterranean Riviera Cruising along the romantic river affords passengers views of beautiful castles, verdant vineyards and fairy-tale villages.

In 2011, Wakefield Council awarded her a star in the form of a pavement plaque for outstanding achievement from an entertainer. [18] In the second episode of series 1, Jane visits the Inner Hebrides (on Majestic’s Glen Tarsan) alongside a few other passengers. Exploring an array of locations including Fingal’s Cave, this intimate cruise varies hugely to the previous cruise aboard MSC Divina. Episode 3 - Hungary and Austria In series 6, episode 2, Jane McDonald’s cruising adventure continues with a voyage through the Mediterranean, including a car tour in Rome, visiting luxury hotels in Monaco and trying delicious tapas in a food market in Barcelona. Sailing on Oceania Cruises’ Marina, this exciting episode gives viewers a real taste of what it would be like to travel through the Mediterranean, along with some great travel inspiration! Episode 3 - The Balkans During her time in Asia she sees some incredible sights in Vietnam and Cambodia including the famous Angkor Wat. The fourth and final episode of series three sees Jane exploring the legendary Deep South on the Mississippi River with the American Queen Steamboat Company, a truly unique river-cruise line with an All-American touch.

Jane Anne McDonald (born 4 April 1963) [1] is an English singer and television presenter. Born and raised in Wakefield, McDonald spent much of her early career performing in local clubs and pubs before landing work as a singer on cruise ships. McDonald became known to the public in 1998 following her appearance on the BBC show The Cruise. [2] The same year, she released her self-titled debut album Jane McDonald (1998), which topped the UK Albums Chart and remained there for 3 weeks. The “S.S.” here appropriately means “Super Ship.” The vessel features fine Brazilian marble on the walls and floors, a 19th-century Venetian glass mirror, a stylish Bar du Leopard with a full-service bar and an onboard cinema. I can’t wait to see my amazing fans. I’m also looking forward to my first chartered cruise in September on the Anthem of the Seas. She has the time of her life taking part in some excellent activities like swimming with sharks in St Maarten, and exploring the history of the Bahamas in the oldest Baptist church in the region. As she travels around the stunning islands of the Hebrides on a wonderfully intimate cruise, the group enjoy some amazing views in the surprising first-class weather!
