I don’t know about everyone else in the FP community, but I like to keep the boxes the pens come in. The Jinhao X750 Shimmering Sands is an attractive chameleon going from near black to rainbow sparkly depending on lighting conditions.

De Atramentis Aubergine is pictured on Rhodia, but Stipula Sepia is in the copper Eight Horses today. The gold just doesn’t jump out at me when I go to storage and need to pull another pen out for rotation. I glued it back on and shaved down the ridge inside of the cap to reduce the pull needed to remove the cap. As you can see, there are plenty of things not to like about the Jinhao X750, with only a few positives.Best of luck, I am a fountain pen freak and have too many pens and the worst thing is that I do most of my writing on a computer. For deliveries to the Rest of the World, Royal Mail suggests up to 21 working days for parcels to arrive. New pens often have some machining oil residue left in the feed, so a good cleaning often does the trick first. As you'll see in the written sample, it started well, but it started to skip a little about halfway down the page.

I don’t know if there is a lot of Jinhao in my daily rotation but I am super happy with this purchase. I am of a mind to give the converter a second chance because the inks I used didn't flow very well, so perhaps an ink which flows more easily will work better in it. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. In fact the X750 is a bit kitschy if you ask me, what with the unevenly stamped checkerboard pattern, but its quirkiness is partly what lends it its charm.I can’t say I’m itching to try more as the let down if I get a bad is just not worth the gamble for me.

I don’t know if it will loosen up over time but it takes a bit of effort for me to pull the cap off. After a couple of words it would let up but it still had problems with certain letters, most notably the downstroke on lowercase letter "l" (for Larry). It took me this long to review the pen because I've been using it for several weeks with multiple inks.I have not tried any of the other popular chinese brands but glad you at least got a couple of good performers in there. The grip is smooth black plastic with a rounded reinforcing ring at the end where the nib inserts into the grip.
