Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being. The inhaled aroma from these “essential” oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function.
This is a 3½-day course that will teach you how to carry out a consultation, select and mix the correct oils for your client, give an Aromatherapy massage, and much more.
The course covers some theory but is mainly practical work and includes 20 case studies. You will be required to sit a short written exam and complete a practical assessment before your Diploma can be awarded. By the end of the course you will know:
- History & benefits of Aromatherapy
- Essential oils
- How to carry out a consultation
- Equipment needed
- How to carry out an Aromatherapy massage treatment
- Professional Ethics/Code of Practise/Working Environment
- Insurance and how to obtain it
- Plus much more
