TNT Greenlights Deadlier Than the Male (WT)". Turner. February 23, 2018 . Retrieved February 27, 2018. Really enjoyed reading by this. Was a little bit slow to start off with and took me a while to get used to the authors writing style and the characters, however it gained momentum and I got into the book about 10-15 chapters in. The build up and the execution at the end was really well written and an enjoyable read. I must admit, I figured the twist out a few chapters ahead of the big reveal but it was done so well that I then was desperate to read the read of the book to see if I was right. Usually, I’d see this as a bit of a disappointment but it just made the ending even more riveting. Have you ever met someone who is completely and utterly bad for you? It’s something you know and feel from the moment your eyes meet theirs - yet you are like a moth to a flame? Consumed. Theresa had murdered Amy Walker, and at that fateful moment, Karen’s water broke; she was pregnant with Parker’s child. Theresa was seemingly driving Karen to the hospital, but actually, she had the intention of killing her. Karen escaped during the sojourn, and in a violent confrontation, injured Theresa. Mary’s motherly instincts had always kept her child in high regard, which is ultimately shattered in the light of this revelation. Of Monsters and Women

If it does become a TV show are there any particular scenes that you would hope to see visualised on screen? Bree is determined to lose her virginity. Stephan travels to to the city for a weekend job offer, while Lucy wonders where they are in their relationship. When her party-animal daughter, Rachel, spins out of control, Lily hires a renowned therapist and healer to help her. Amber is the skilled and intuitive confidante that Rachel desperately needs. But as Rachel falls increasingly under Amber’s spell, she begins to turn against her parents, and Lily grows suspicious. I liked Kate Ruby’s writing. It felt rather light while the story could be really dark at times. I liked the concept of the story and the darkness and I felt all those different forms of manipulation. There was one thing though that I couldn’t let go. When I’m reading a psychological thriller I want to be on the edge of my seat, guessing and second guessing what happened. Sadly, I wasn’t that invested because I found the pacing rather slow. When I started guessing the twists I even got a bit bored. Overall, I believe Tell Me Your Lies is an okay thriller for readers who like darker stories and plot twists. Emma is employed as a hairstylist and encounters Rose, Jess’ bully whom she had assaulted. They strike an unlikely friendship as Emma welcomes her despite their violent encounter. Emma suspects Pete of killing Jess and information found in the foster home where Jess lived points to Pete’s possible involvement. Emma meets a police officer, Tom, with whom she gradually develops a relationship. Tom is involved in the case of the missing teenager and finds himself deep within the convoluted happenings.Joy Behar Was Totally Lost On 'The View' As Whoopi Goldberg Tried To Make An Argument About Men And Abortion: "What Is The Point?" KR: I myself have had a lot of therapy, both the traditional talk therapy but also slightly more out-there things like the Hoffman process which is an eight day residential process. I’ve even done psychedelics in a therapeutic context. I really wanted to write about both the good and the bad in therapy and I think ultimately it’s a story about self-actualisation and finding yourself but it’s a complex journey that Rachel goes on, that she doesn’t need to go on. She needs help at the beginning of the book and she does get that help, but not as she expects. But what if, in the process, terrible secrets are revealed at the heart of this picture perfect family? Steven was the epitome of everything I hate in a man: semi-attractive, full of himself, the type of man who thinks the world owes him something. I feel like I can sniff out these types of men in real life and know they are the guys who sneak away for "work" to cheat on their wives or girlfriends. These guys are usually a little pudgey, or completely dumpy, but somehow have landed and continue to land stunning women. The draw women feel to these particular men makes no sense to me whatsoever, and I'm always disgusted by the slimeballs. Thank you to Atria, NetGalley and Carola Lovering for a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

A brilliantly constructed tale of rivalry, manipulation and revenge. In the burgeoning genre of ‘therapy noir’, this is my favourite to date. I couldn’t bear it to end.' - LOUISE CANDLISHTold from the retrospective viewpoints of Rachel and Lily, the author does a great job of diving into the heads of some very messed up people and exploring their family dynamics.
