About this deal

Of course, Bleue is it's own thing but my mind always compares with what it knows (thought it may be interesting for some folks here!

I might add that the bottle is a thing of beauty- the deep, transparent, dark glowing blue color truly reflects the scent profile inside. Then it gets woodier, pine-cypress becomes obvious and the citrus fades a bit, this cypress note is really well made and never gets dull or boring in the deep drydown because the rosemary is still there, giving its effervescence and its spiciness, accompanied with some juniper, cedar. As a child I used to pick the blue berries off of the juniper bushes in my yard and would squeeze them between my fingers because I enjoyed the aroma so much. When I first sniff it, I felt that I was in a dense forest full of coniferous trees, cypresses, pines, cedars and oakmoss after heavy rain.

It's hard to really say what I get from this it's not foresty, wet, or really that green to me its more of a fruity, herbal medicinal kind of smell but kept in a cider bottle ha it's not a love for me just a like.

I get why people consider it to be a winter scent, which is what I'm using it for now, but we'll see in the summer what I say then! Already, even after a week, looking into another bottle of this beautiful fragrance (fragrancenet has 2017 and earlier versions available). Another great synthetic 'blue' release comes to mind: Laroche's Horizon, or, more recently, Blue Santal and Hermann A Mes Cotes Me Paraissait Une Ombre. An all season scent in my opinion that despite its "Nuit" designation can easily be used in the daytime as well.

The one thing that hooks me in it with the combination of notes , and the blue bottle, I actually get a "blueberry" vibe, even in an abstracted way. Green/herbs with a slight peppery or mild-spice kick over a mineral or watery backdrop(calone is not listed as a note but it does feel like the perfumer added a small dose of calone or a similar chemical to create a slight watery feel in the background). I understand that some people hate it, but I also know that it can smell quite different depending on the person. I like to believe that L'Eau Bleue d'Issey was the competitor for Givenchy's Blue Label, and I do find similarities in between the two, though Issey took a very green-herbal turn whilst keeping the aquatic aspects. I am yet to come across a scent that captures rosemary this good, like the smell when you bruise rosemary leaves between your fingers.

Very green aromatic, has a camphorated smell, like a "sterilized" feel, it can be a strange description but I find very well made and elegant. As such, whatever style of scent you're looking for, you'll likely find more desirable options out there. I could smell juniper, rosemary, lavender and some kind of citrus in many back gardens so it isn't intriguing in that sense. However, those who deal with the marketing of the brand were totally wrong with the color of the bottle .

If you like that bitter citrus Issey DNA I strongly recommend you to try this one (specially since it seems to be discontinued). com/products/issey-miyake-leau-bleue-dissey-pour-homme-eau-de-toilette-mens-aftershave-spray-75ml 6622790582431 Issey Miyake L'eau Bleue D'Issey Pour Homme Eau de Toilette Men's Aftershave Spray (75ml) 33.

first off i am a fan of the original issey miyake, when i seen issey bleue i imagined a more aquatic brighter version of the original, so i bought it. I also imagine the scent from gardens, the cypress hedges and masses of aromatic rosemary plants with some lavender and geranium dotted here and there. The L`eau majeure d `Issey is finally a very good, if not a top fragrance, but for many test persons it is just bad, because their noses are trimmed for mainstream and simplicity. A fragrance that has been made great all around, which perhaps looks better in spring and autumn than in midsummer.
