They are still fully waterproof without any additional treatment and I've had to walk through some deep puddles in them, as well as torrential downpours, the last being a couple of weeks ago (May 2021) having purchased them last October. I’m only a size 5 and there is no give in the ankle part for you to be able to bend your foot into them.
