Er is liefde in de lucht (Daniel en oh la la Antoine (en niet alleen de mango), er is een flinke portie meidenplezier en leuke dingen doen, Amber mag nog steeds oprotten, er zijn leuke tekstberichten, tof met Jesse heel blij dat dit ook een deel was van het verhaal en ik kan niet wachten om te zien hoe zij dingen gaat ontdekken, Lottie is heerlijk dramatisch, er worden veel KitKat chunkies verorberd en ik wilde ook een paar, ze gaat op vakantie naar Frankrijk... met vervelende tweelingen en embarrassing vaders en een WiFiwand, er zijn grappige illustraties, en er is heel veel meer. Ik heb echt enorm genoten. Jammer dat ik hem niet in een keer kon lezen omdat ik moest slapen, maar ach dan kon ik nog even genieten vandaag.

OMG ik heb wederom genoten van Lottie en haar avonturen. (en ja herinner me er aan dat ik echt minder OMG moet zeggen!) Sorry als iemand die gepest is *steekt middelvinger op naar dit soort gedoe* Her growth through the book is huge and she ends her diary with the message that you shouldn't do anything you don't want to do just because someone tells you to and actually it's okay to just be you. Which I think every preteen (or tween as some in my class like to be referred as!) needs to hear. She openly discusses what her body is going through (or not going through) during puberty and comparing it to everyone else. From an adult point of view, I liked how her mum talked about it with her and celebrated her changing body and didn't make her feel like it was something to feel shameful about. We need more body positive talk!She might as well give up now and go into hibernation with her hamsters Sir Barnaby Squeakington and Fuzzball the Third. Een best leuk boek over een meisje dat graag populair wilt worden en alles wat ze meemaakt. Ik vond Lotte soms best een toffe meid, maar soms wilde ik haar gewoon even doorelkaar rammelen. Ze heeft echt een leuke en lieve vriendin maar die is niet popi genoeg dus ja.... Ze bleef maar bij het gemene meiden groepje en leek ook af en toe niet te snappen waarom haar andere vriendin niet zo blij was met de zaken. Hallo, die meiden waar je bij bent zijn gewoon gemeneriken en daar wil niemand gevonden bij worden. Het verhaal leest als een trein, ik denk net zoals de gedachten van Lottie gaan. Lekker chaotisch en van de hak op de tak. Met veel humor en zelfspot vlieg je door het verhaal waarin we genieten van haar familie, crushes en BFF’s. De teksten hebben verschillende lettertypes en worden afgewisseld met leuke, eenvoudige illustraties. (de kleren moet je er zelf maar bij denken, want ik heb geen zin om die te tekenen- ik heb nog meer te doen, weet je wel)

Puperleven all over, hilarische situaties en typische meidendingen uit het heerlijke (maar niet heus) leven van Lottie. Zo genieten om te lezen over de dingen die haar leven verpesten! (Sorry not sorry!) The character of Lottie is so relatable too. I know I'm years away from my own childhood but my memories are pretty strong. I know all too well the realities of so called 'popular girls' (although in my school it was actually both the girls and the boys who were equally mean) making fun of me for the slightest thing. And although this is a humorous book that had me laughing out loud in some places, there were also some emotional moments where Lottie is crying in bed. My daughter couldn’t put it down and read it in 2 days.
