About this deal

Chemistry is widely considered as one of the most difficult subjects to make exciting, but Simon Mayo, radio presenter of the BBC's Drivetime and Kermode and Mayo's Film Review, seems to have discovered the perfect formula for doing so: (explosions x noxious materials) ÷ sinister global corporations. The group thinks Greencorp may have something to do with it, so they track down Tim's mom (Lenora) to see if she can help them and so Itch can than her for Tim saving Jack's life. I liked the character of Itch, as he was strange and invited the reader to wonder what on earth he would try to collect next. You probably know him as a radio DJ and might remember that he took over the flagship Radio One Breakfast Show from Mike Smith back in the 80's.

Jack brings an abundance of smarts to the dynamic, helping Itch see through his more risky moments with a tomboyish expertise. After disposing of Element 126, a new element that is extremely radioactive and also valuable for its potential as an alternative energy source, Itchingham Lofte and his cousin Jack have been treated for radiation poisoning and now they're the most protected children in England. An amazing book that helped me learn without me even noticing and gets me interested in the side topic of the book. Based on the periodic table, Itch - Element Hunter is the first novel from renowned radio DJ Simon Mayo - an exciting and nail-biting thriller. Others, such as a teaspoon of gunpowder and two radioactive clock hands, he purchases from a mysterious man who goes by the name "Cake". When Flowerdew threatens to throw Jack into a deep mining well Tim tackles him, throwing them both into the mine well in the process but rescuing Jack.

Everyone's worst fear has happened- Flowerdew has stolen the rock and left Itch and his friends stranded in a city they are unfamiliar with. I heard Simon review this book on Chris Evans show ages ago, but when I wanted an 'easy read' for last thing at night I remembered about Itch. Lucy is planning a beach cleanup, Darcy is planning on working at the country club, and Jack plans on working at the local vets office.

When Itch and Jack are forced to retrieve Element 126, will they be able to survive to fight off the bad guys and find a way to destroy Element 126 for good? When the mayor announces it is time to reopen the beach, it is up to Tim and Lucy to convince her that the water is still unsafe for everyone.
