About this deal

Nash and Violet were a pretty good couple. The trope was definately ex-lovers-lovers to friends-friends to lovers. Moreover, the coach knows too much about him and he is sure the last thing he would want is for him to date his daughter. His avoidance strategy has been working but then Vaugun starts failing calc and he finds himself being tutored by Luna Ward. Bottom Line? It was ok. I think there was a lot of fluff that could have been paired down. I skimmed a lot of the last 60%. But I finished. 🤷🏼‍♀️. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really really liked a lot of things about this book. First and foremost, I liked the fact that things were realistic and genuine. Violet put herself out there for Nash because she believed in him and truly loved him, she was patient with him and tried her best to understand his point of view on a lot of things. Sex was ALWAYS on the brain for these two, mainly in the first half of the book. Not even the action of it, just the thought. I hated it.

After what happened last time, I know better than to fall for Nash again. Not to mention, there’s a strict no-fraternization policy between trainers and their athletes. Problem is, our chemistry is hotter than ever—and he’s determined to convince me to give him another chance. One last thing, the spice was...immaculate to say the least. I can't even begin to explain where my head and voice went with the spice. My spice rating says it all. The medical issue with Bailey seemed weird. It was randomly brought up, then never again, and then asked about at the end. I don’t understand why the large gaps between the information. It also added nothing to the story or her character, especially after it is revealed what it is. Nash and Violet's story is a steamy, second-chance sports romance with a grumpy, overprotective hero, angst, and a slow burn that turns sizzling. They were a couple before, until Nash decided to break up with Violet because of his family problems. I do understand that he done it for a reason, but he hurt Violet. And she was still feeling the hurt through the book. That was the main reason that she decided not to trust him that easily. The sparks, the love and the heat between both of them were again... still there. I am happy that there wasn't that much of tug and pull between them. Violet was scared that Nash will hurt her again, and he was scared for the same thing, with the exception that he was determined not to do the same mistake twice. I really enjoyed the chapter lengths as well, they weren't long but they weren't short. They were perfect, in my opinion, because the length and the words didn't give me enough time to be bored whenever the next chapter would be right around the corner. It had a lot of potential but I feel like, it could've been even more angsty if Keelan had mentioned their first couple of years together as well-as in Past part and then present. It definitely would've been it. Other than that, she prides herself on being a discovery writer, and as such, her stories sometimes take unexpected turns depending on where her characters lead. Given the chaotic nature of her writing, the duration it takes for her to get her works published varies from a few months to several years. Lots of mention of bending her over and taking her but it was always so sweet. It was more the fact that he said it repeatedly and it just never happened. I felt set up for some explosive scenes and was just so sweet all the time.

She is a brilliant tattoo-covered brunette that is 100 percent his type even though she is definitely off-limits. Since he is in his senior year of college, scouts have been watching his every move and he cannot food to ever get benched for a misdemeanor. There was mention of Bailey having trouble having Os. His response was amazing, but I expected this to play out in the bedroom, but nope. Immediately orgasming with him every single time. I really wanted it to happen because we never ever see this. Women don’t always have orgasms or struggle to have them, and it would have been so amazing to see this in a book. After what happened last time, I know better than to fall for Nash again. Not to mention, there’s a strict no-fraternization policy between trainers and their athletes. Problem is, our chemistry is hotter than ever—and he’s determined to make me give him another chance.. The only thing worse than having a “one that got away” is knowing you’re the one who pushed her to leave. — Nash The heroine having a hard time having an O was definitely unique and I loved how the hero handled it.Please note: This listing is for the published, revised version of Offside only as there will be some substantial edits and changes. no condom - they do talk safety and both say they’ve never gone without protection with anyone else - h is on BC They get together early, so early that I was truly concerned with where she would go with this because it was a big book. She could have taken out so much of them in their happy phase (especially since the break up is late and doesn’t last long) and focused more on developing the conflict. Oohh, where to begin, where to begin. I think I'll start off by saying that this was a good book. It's a great book, and I cannot be more thankful to have received an ARC to read it a bit earlier than everyone. This was one of those books that once you were hooked in, you could not put it down. I really really found it hard to put down but at the same time, I wanted to put it down because I didn't want it to be over.

Following a string of scandals and substandard grades, Chase is on thin ice with his teammates and tyrannical coach. The last thing he needs is to have his focus and loyalty called into question by fraternizing with his team's #1 rival. But a beautiful stranger who throws herself at him one night is too tempting to pass up... Until she throws up on his shoes. Meeting freshman year of college, Nash has eyes for only one girl until his past issues start to affect their relationship. After breaking her heart, Nash finds himself in close proximity of Violet in senior year when she becomes his athletic trainer. Her little white lie puts her in the crosshairs of Satan in a suit in the name of Bennet Bradford. He is a handsome man with a rough heart and she learned this the hard way. While she now thinks of herself as an author, she has said that her biggest dream is to one day hold a physical copy of her works and put it on her home bookshelf. She would also be delighted if one or several of her books were optioned and made into movies.

Publication Order of Rules of the Game Books

Nash Richards was my first everything. First boyfriend, first time, first love. First heartbreak, too. I wanted to read something light since I'd been continuously reading dark romances. At the same time a bit angsty read and "the one who got away" trope always serves as an angsty read. Violet deserves an award for being the most patient person. She was very mature which was a nice change of pace.
