About this deal

Welcome to the Xplora family! We hope that you and your child will enjoy this new and more exciting way of exploring the world. The following guide will show you how to set up your watch with the preinstalled SIM-card. Install the app on your smartphone and follow the instructions on your screen to verify the number of your smartphone and create a user account. Important: When creating an administrator, do not write your phone number with a space or zero beforehand. All of these things are essential for paranoid parents looking for a way to keep tabs on younger kids who may be taking their first steps in walking to school on their own. The person can scan the QR code from the watch. The QR code is to be found in the Settings menu of the watch.

Press and hold for approx. 20 seconds to switch the device off. The SOS alarm will be triggered when switching off the device this way. Alternatively you can switch off the device through the app or through the device's settings menu without triggering the SOS alarm. The XGO3 camera is now a 2-megapixel affair, where the XGO2's was only 0.3 megapixel. Given the size and resolution of the watch screen, this wasn't necessarily a dealbreaker for any budding David Bailey's, but the higher quality of the XGO3 camera definitely translates. Primarily, the screen is now larger with thinner bezels for the watch face and a less obvious camera 'eye' at the top. These improvements all help make the XGO3 look more high-end – more like Mum or Dad's adult smartwatch, for example. This should help pique and keep a child's interest, as it means they won't get tired of the style or feel embarrassed wearing a "kid's watch" as they get older. You will find the charging port of your XPLORA GO on the left side of the device. If the device is equipped with the XPLORA GO watch strap, you need to open the rubber lid that protects the port.Be careful not to damage the lid, otherwise the device may become more vulnerable to water damage. The best smartwatch for kids should be one that fits comfortably on smaller wrists and looks good enough to wear with pride. Many models in our list of best kids’ smartwatches offer a range of colours and patterns to help your child express their personality. Beyond the aesthetic, look for lightweight, durable designs, preferably with elastomer bands that are easy to clean, allowing your children to play with abandon. Features

When switched off, press and hold the button on the right side of the device to switch the watch on. For further motivation, the Ace 3 gives your child stats and achievement badges and allows them to take part in challenges against family and friends. All of this information is served via Fitbit’s notoriously excellent smartphone app. Parents and kids can pair the Ace 3 with their Fitbit app, but while adults get the full-fat version, children see a “Kid View” with pared-down stat displays and an emphasis on customising the watch face. The companion app, available on both Android and iOS, is fully comprehensive, too. You can also view your child’s position live on a map and his or her recent GPS history, although remember for all the call and phone facilities to work you do need to add a SIM card with data and minutes loaded. The XGO2 allows up to two guardians. Both have almost the same rights, with the only difference being that only the primary administrator can factory reset the watch from his/her app. If you’re getting fed up with nagging your children to be more active and healthy— don’t worry, the Ace 3 does it for you. It does this by setting your child the target to sleep nine hours a night and reach 10,000 steps a day, although you can alter these numbers if you so wish. It even gives them the goal to do 250 steps in an hour nine times per day— this is great as it breaks up the target of 10,000 steps and keeps your child engaged throughout the day. The core features and funtionality of the XGO3 have been carried over from the XGO2 – phone, messages, voice messages, GPS, SOS and safety zone, school mode, step counter, stopwatch, alarm, camera, photo gallery, emojis etc – but there are also obvious, headline improvements. The Xplora proprietary charger, which connects magnetically to the watch, is still a bit of a drag, as it's not like any other charger you'll have available at home, so you'll have to keep a close eye on this accessory. At least with the improved battery life (850mAh, up from the XGO2's 700mAh) the watch will stay active with the wearer for longer. A full charge should get them through a couple of days, if not more. Adding a second guardian is easy, just follow the steps below. Keep in mind that each guardian can delete the other guardian. Make sure that the person you want to assign as second guardian is absolutely trustworthy!

Press and hold for approx. 5 seconds to activate the SOS alarm and call the guardians (subject to coverage) There’s no GPS and it hasn’t got a touchscreen, but if you’re looking to get your child up and active with a fun smartwatch, the Vivofit Jr 3 is a great option.

Despite being a guardian, I see this message: Your request has been sent to the guardian. It's waiting for consent Insert the micro-USB cable to charge the watch. When charging, a battery symbol will appear on the screen. There’s not so much here for children to enjoy but the basics are covered. The watch is chunky but comfortable on the wrist and the 240 x 240 pixel 1.4in touchscreen is both bright and responsive. There’s a choice of watch faces and the ubiquitous step counter, which award kids with coins for activity. Your little ones can send messages via Bluetooth to other Kurio watches or via the Kurio Android app (not available on iOS) plus a front-facing camera lets them take selfies and videos, and add fun filters before sharing.
