About this deal

Maxi-Cosi is a popular brand with parents, and many of its models can be used with pushchairs to create a travel system. They can even be used with other brands of pushchair, so long as you have the Maxi-Cosi car seat adaptors. Can I recycle a Maxi-Cosi car seat? School-Aged Children: Once they have outgrown their forward-facing car seat, children should use a belt-positioning booster seat until the vehicle’s lap and shoulder belt fits properly. This is often when they have reached at least 4 feet 9 inches in height and are 8 to 12 years old. Erin looked happy and comfortable in the seat, and we were able to raise and lower the headrest using a small button – simply pressing and pulling up, with the head rest adjusting accordingly. This was very simple and straightforward to do, and it was great peace of mind to know that the height of the head support could always be adapted to meet her current height. Rather than some seats that are limited to particular age groups, this feature makes the Maxi-Cosi RidiFix AirProtect something which can easily grow with your child. Safety comes as standard with the RodiFix S i-Size. Built to today’s highest i-Size safety standards, the car seat features extra high wings on both sides for increased side impact protection. Thanks to the higher seating position, kids will enjoy the better view that they get out of the window. We love the fact that a recline has been added, as it's still important for longer drives.

I’ve had the privilege of reviewing some pretty awesome car seats over the last few years, both as a parent and as a grizzly guy writing a car safety blog. I advocate rear-facing to the limits, forward-facing to the limits, and only then switching to boosters. I prefer convertible seats to infant seats and combination seats to boosters, simply for efficiency. Dedicated boosters, in the end, are designed to do the same thing as combination seats in booster mode: to properly position seat belts on children who are old enough to sit in them. So if there are combination seats that do as good of a job as dedicated boosters, why would I review and even suggest a dedicated booster? Adjustable open design that alters in both height and width so your child will always be safe and comfortable from 3.5 up to 12 years old For years of safety and relaxation on the roads, RodiFix S i-Size offers your child multiple recline positions and a design that meets the highest safety standards. The Maxi-Cosi RodiFix is a rather unique car seat and, in my opinion, one of the best booster car seats currently available in the United States for children above the age of 4. It’s likely to be the last seat your child needs before s/he is ready for a regular adult seat belt. You can buy the Maxi-Cosi RodiFix in a range of colors here. Canadians can buy it here.Toddlers and Preschoolers: Once they are forward-facing, children should use a forward-facing car seat with a harness for as long as possible, until they reach the height and weight limits for their seats.

Maxi-Cosi car seats are always at the cutting edge when it comes to new safety features and innovations. Our G-CELL and AirProtect® features perfectly demonstrate that commitment. G-CELL spreads the impact of a collision in the event of a crash, providing better protection for your child. With two family cars and two children, we now require four car seats between us. Erin is now 5, and now that her baby sister is getting bigger, we decided to pass down Erin’s old seat to Neve and treat Erin to a new stage 2/3 car seat; one which in theory would see her out until she no longer requires a car seat at all. Quite a sobering thought! The Maxi-Cosi Rodifix manual touches on rear and forward facing even though it is a dedicated booster seat. From the manual: Older Children: All children younger than 13 should be restrained in the rear seats of vehicles for ultimate protection.”

Maxi-Cosi Rodifix Air Protect Group 2/3 Car Seat Extra Info:

It's great to see a Group 2/3 car seat with the option of two recline positions for those all important car naps! It's easy to adjust by pushing up the two grey side levers. Things to look out for…
