All in all, a rich, smooth, sensuous fragrance, one of the few by Givenchy worth giving any time to.

It has staying power which is wonderful , I dislike having to spritz on more once I'm leaving for the day , although I have a few purse size rollerball and travel sprays . I lost touch with my friend as she's travelled the world for her job, never had kids so she's able to do that, and when I did see her again she couldn't remember what perfume it was! Bear in mind the opening notes are quite strong but this comes alive after wearing on skin for an hour or two. It's not my favorite fall scent for myself (that goes to Armani Mania, which incidentally my mom bought me over 10 years ago for my 18th birthday- I'm now on my 3rd or 4th bottle) but it will always hold an extra special place in my heart that no other scent comes close to (except maybe Erox Realm which my mom also loves.

I absolutely adore it's DNA but it has this somewhat vintage vibe so would only be suitable for a formal event and you don't attend many nowadays. Superb longevity,and wonderful sillage which could be heavy if applied too much( easy on the trigger! I bought the reformulated Organza assuming it would be like the original, which I had many years ago, and adored.Finally, I can smell the vanilla, the amber and the guaiac wood at the base all melding perfectly together, creating a beautiful, warm, cozy and slightly sweet vanillic base, without things going into awful gourmand sugar cookie territory. The heart of the fragrance is deliciously rounded, warm and voluptuous, with ylang ylang and tuberose. Most of the jasmine we get in fragrances is from India and that is really nice but Egyptian and Arabian has something special about it, it just smells better. This must be the strongest perfume I have in my collection, and how could one not be thrilled about this. Organza lasted well during the whole day and late nights, it filled the room with its powerful presence.

I actually like the scent though not my usual taste, I find it sweet white flowers with a bit of powdery haze, but God! The bottle and the cap are forming a stunning ancient Greek ionic column that resembles the shape of a woman's body, the packaging is the beautiful representation of the juice inside - a scent fit for an elegant, strong woman. This is an odd one, since unlike most here, it appears that on my skin it translates to an oriental spicebomb. While the perfume opens wonderfully, with white florals and spices, it is soon overpowered with nutmeg that continues to dominate the scent deep into the creamy drydown. I do see how some people smell a root beer like quality to this, might be only the vintage formulas.The blend is strengthened on dry down with its enveloping woody notes, suffused with sweet but not gourmand vanilla, with sensual amber notes that give a grandiose creamy and powdery aftertaste of great charm. I'm either just remembering it different because my nose is more mature or that perfume is lost to time. Remember: our 2ml, 5ml, 10ml and 20ml sizes are fragrance samples and will be bottles as such - you will not receive the branded bottle as shown as the image on this page.

I will probably add to this review, because I still think that my emotions about Organza has not been expressed for more than 20%.I highly recommend Organza by Givenchy to those of you who love fragrances that project and leave a trail as you go about. Unfortunately, after letting it sit on its shelf for about two years (alas, other love interests came in sight), Organza stopped being its former self.
