About this deal

I'm still not sure how these companies can advertise and charge for an EDP that has the strength of a high quality body spray. Also, I’m surprised at how long lasting this is for a fresh perfume as I can still catch whiffs of myself after a long day. I have a 100ml bottle of the original and I'm not quite sure what to do with it because swapping would require communicating and providing my address.

In my opinion this is a masterpice of a summer fragrance but it can abselutely be used all year round. This does well in the heat, but there are way better freshies out there, as a woman that is a freshie connoisseur. Loved the opening, but I quickly got to what I think is the jasmine, and it smells weird / a little too musky / mothball-y to me. ALCOHOL, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE, AQUA / WATER, LIMONENE, BENZYL SALICYLATE, BENZOTRIAZOLYL DODECYL p-CRESOL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, HYDROXYCITRONELLAL, CITRONELLOL, ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE, HEXYL CINNAMAL, LINALOOL, PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRA-DI-T-BUTYL HYDROXYHYDROCINNAMATE, GERANIOL, CITRAL, BUMETRIZOLE, BENZYL BENZOATE, TRIS(TETRAMETHYLHYDROXYPIPERIDINOL) CITRATE, CINNAMAL, METHYL-2-OCTYNOATE, EUGENOL, CI 61570 / GREEN 5, CI 17200 / RED 33,CI 19140 / YELLOW 5.I love this perfume, it smells like expensive toothpaste drenched in limoncello and being out at a lake. I keep thinking I must've fucked up the bottle or smth but no, everything is fresh and original and it's the correct variant. i cannot describe this perfume as 'fresh' enough because that is exactly its purpose and does its job perfectly.

Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer. Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia begins with an infinite charming and effortlessly elegant sensation from the very first note. Peony immediately turns this perfume from ice mojito into some kind of hand soap with a floral scent. If anyone out there reading this had the original bottle and was scared that the newer design meant a newer formulation, fear not. There is a charming sensation of freshness from the very first notes which are carried along in a deliciously heady current of crushed Mint, with a zest of Italian "Limone Primo Fiore Femminello", harvested from the first spring blossoms in Calabria.

However, towards the drydown the jasmine is just so sharp and intense that it just doesn't blend well with the other green notes. The base lingers on a uniquely Mediterranean trail of cedar wood and the complex, herbaceous accords of labdanum. I would like the perfume to have the jasmine, and the mint a little bit more pronounced, and lasted longer in the composition. For medium intensity: spray in a y-shape across your body, beginning at one shoulder and finishing at the other.

This would of been a repurchase if the longevity was better but I don’t think I’d purchase again unfortunately unless anyone has any tips. It’s definitely not my favorite fragrance of the di gioia line but I still recommend it to people from time to time. My first thought on leaving the house this morning, smelling of Aqua di Gioia, was that I’d love a vacation to a warm tropical destination and I’d take this fragrance with me.This fresh, aquatic fragrance, whose name means, "water of joy," captures the simple happiness one can experience at this extraordinary destination.

weighing the pros and cons of trying out other flankers in the range or repurchasing this one but in a larger size. I can definitely detect the mint but I think that’s because I’m a bartender so I’m always garnishing my drinks with mint leaves. It was the first perfume that I really invested in (as a teenager, this felt like a real investment at the time). I imagine a New England boarding school graduate would wear this when she goes to the Hamptons for a summer family gathering. I wish the acquatic feeling was more in line with others like L'eau d'Issey but it's nice nonetheless, sometimes if it's way too hot outside it becomes bothersome (ironic since i had always seen this as a freshie), maybe it's my skin playing tricks with the watery notes once again, maybe it's something else.In this version, what stands out the most in its initial and middle phase is the mint accompanied by citrus. I have never visited the Mediterranean, but I picture a woman in a crisp white dress standing by the seaside wearing this. Have no idea why others say that they could smell nothing but bitter mint/citrus because this smells amazing on my skin. The cucumber/watermelon smell is not really for me, but I don´t think it will be offensive to anyone else.
