About this deal
In reality, they are soo baggy and not slim at all, the foots gets sweaty and they are not looking like trousers at all. Tried some Greys this year which I managed to pick up on an offer but I would definitely go for the Bisons again. waders "puffing up" is normal, they are breathable but waterproof, so the air will not escape that quickly under pressure, my Orvis Endura do the same thing.
Also as the Bearclaw boots have nowhere to fasten your gaiter clips to, just put a couple of plastic tie fix straps around the boot, it works OK.
For example, they mention it's a fantastic product, well-made, and has studs to fit in the soles of boots. The best option for me was a pair of bisons, cheap at only a hundred quid with boots and with good reports on here. Only just got a new pair, went for scierras this time, good waders but I sweat like a pig in them which I didn't do in the bisons. Mine came with a set of wading boots, those silly clunky big things went straight on to fleabay the next day.
I'm not always that fussy about small details but my mrs did go on about this, i just said (it'll be fine). Bought a 2nd pair which I have used since the beginning of the year and if they last that long I'll be happy! Got these as I'd read good reviews on them and I already have a pair of boots for my neoprene chesties. well chuffed I believe the company is newmill angling and with this dealing with them i'll use them in the future. Interesting as I have had the exact opposite experience to you, had Bison found them ill fitting and the seams leaked after only a few trip also the sole on one boot came away and had to be super glued, got the Rapala Pro ones and use them 4 or 5 times a week, havent had a leak yet apart from a very small one that was my fault when I hooked the knee with a treble.I think half the problem with the budget breathable waders is the fit, the legs are usually not articulated putting extra stress on the seams. well if 15 times worn and the boots literally falling apart is acceptable as "fair wear and tear" i think we are all in trouble.
He has put a plastic clip line around each boot to overcome the problem and it works well, but I was told Bison are looking into having them altered to combat this. As with certain other items in my plugging gear,i will not pay silly money, especially for something which has a good chance of getting torn or ripped or punctured.
The following Friday night was warm and muggy and a good 500m hike to the waterside would provide the answer as to whether the material is indeed breathable. Arrived well before they where due and the quality off these waders are amazing, been out fishing the night they arrived no leeks whatsoever and are really comfortable. Eventually the abuse they got in amongst all the barnacle covered reefs i fish took their toll and the heels started to come away and let water in. But they in cold water and spring times at least have out preformed by rather expensive breathables.
In normal speak, this means that you can deep-wade with complete security and you can walk miles in a heat wave! lol ) it saves me from a tumble umpteen times on most sessions whether i am in the water or walking on the shore on 12 inches deep bladder wrack or kelp. On the inside of the chest is a zip up pocket (where I found the repair kit), and a belt is included.Really considering these due to being a newer member to the sport these look ideal for my first pair. This is the first pair of waders I've owned though, so I don't know if they all do it, or if I should have gone up to the 'fat b*stard' size! When my greys ones failed in April i started to use the cheap Aldi ones for my plugging until i could decide what new waders to get. All in all, for the money they are brilliant, and the options that are opened up on a fishing session cannot be underestimated.
