Well ... you can put other fans on there (LL, HD, etc) and get them to work but you won't be able to configure the LNC correctly in iCUE. As a result, effects would be off and likely quite funky in some cases. After finally finding a review on mmorpg that installed a LL120 as exhaust, I can confirm that other fan types won't work. It didn't even light up period. Yup! And because it's the same as the front fans, synced effects look good, and again, the MLs that come with the H115i sort of blend in given the angle RGB lighting is controlled by a preinstalled Corsair Lighting Node Core with six slots. The first three are already configured for the included RGB fans. Cable management benefits from cable trays with Velcro straps, cable glands, and a plastic shield that helps to hide cable runs. Did you install the commander core? Does the CC let you plug in different model fans? This brings us to the next problem: wiring. The metal lip I mentioned earlier wasn't designed for cables to pass through it; instead, it's meant to allow air to pass through from the fans mounted on the right side of the case. The lip is fairly short, though, and it partially hangs over the cable cutouts on the right side of the motherboard. This gets in the way of passing cables through—especially large cables like the 24-pin main motherboard power feed. It also makes connecting cables to right-angle headers on the board more difficult. Naturally, as there are cables passing through right in front of this lip as well, this is going to restrict airflow from the fans. The iCUE 4000X RGB has removable storage consisting of two 2.5in drive trays, and a 3.5in drive bay with trays for two 3.5in or 2.5in drives. All six fan mounting locations can take 120mm-width radiators, while the front and top fan bays can take up to two 140mm-width fans and up to 280mm radiators. Using a 280mm radiator in the top will limit your RAM choices to Corsair Vengeance LPX or similar profiles. Intuitive, user-friendly software lets users program and customize flow profiles and offers a robust database of brand-name syringes. Remote computer control capabilities are available through USB, TTL, and RS232 communication connections. Inside the main compartment of the case is the motherboard mounting tray and a raised lip, which isn't for cables as you might think (more on this later).
