About this deal

i am tired of it, its defecting my studies which i need a certificate to stay here rather then going back to where i live. Many thanks to Netgalley and Killer Reads for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

At the beginning I was, I thought the story would pick up it's pace and totally capture my attention, forcing me along at a rapid speed of shocks a be surprises. You may not receive forgiveness immediately — or ever — since apologies don’t always mend broken trust. When stress distracts you from your relationship, you might improve the situation by devoting one night a week to your partner. These practices can help you become more familiar with emotions, making it easier to accept and work through even the most uncomfortable ones.

I read a lot of thrillers and theses days there are so many poorly written far fetched ones out there that it was refreshing to find one that kept my interest. You might want to read about CBT therapy, dialectical therapy, and schema therapy, we have articles on here about all of them). Also that week nell spent in therapy at the end is not going to get her over everything she's been through . First of all, this level of suffering and loneliness is not okay, it’s too much for anyone, and when things are at this level we need support. The premise was heartbreaking while the characters were all deeply flawed and tainted with duplicity yet oddly compelling and continually pricking at my curiosity. It is a roller coaster ride where you're unsure just where the author will take you next, keeping you on the edge of your seat. The only way to move beyond this and gain the self-esteem to allow ourselves to be loved is to process the past, not just ‘decide’ to make peace with it, but really dive deep and process.

This was a book of multiples - multiple POVs, multiple suspects, multiple twists and misdirections, multiple liars committing multiple selfish and consciously deceitful acts. I had read some cosy mysteries previously from Jackie Kabler, and enjoyed them, but this has really stepped up a gear and is a full blown psychological drama - it crept under my skin, and may continue to cling onto me for a while after finishing it. She worked as a newspaper reporter and then a television news correspondent for twenty years, spending nearly a decade on GMTV followed by stints with ITN and BBC News. This was my first experience reading the well-crafted words of Jackie Kabler and I am kicking myself for not noticing her prior works, she’s got mad word skillz! It starts off with one of the main characters Thea out and about and people being nasty to her but you don't know why just that she's obviously done something terrible . I was so convinced part way through that I knew the gist of what had happened, and some of my guesses were correct but many other things occurred too much to my delight. I will say that I am willing to give this another go if I feel like it at some stage just because I'm left feeling like I must have missed something because everyone is loving this book.
