About this deal

You may have seen a cheaper 'Legacy' version of Darth Vader's saber on the likes of ShopDisney, so why bother with the Force FX Elite? They're both identical in terms of detailing (though the Legacy equivalent is closer to the one seen in A New Hope), though the Force FX replica has more special effects to its name. It also comes with a switch on the hilt to activate different sounds. The sounds include blaster deflection, ignition, and the molten blade effect. Released: 2nd November 2022. Obi-Wan Kenobi is set years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced the corruption of his friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned Sith Lord Darth Vader

When Hasbro’s manager of product design, Chris Reiff, and his team first learned there would be a live-action Inquisitor lightsaber in Obi-Wan Kenobi, they knew they wanted to find a way to make the dream of it available to fans. That includes Reiff himself who, as a lifelong fan, enjoys building replica Star Wars props in his free time. StarWars.com spoke with Reiff over Zoom about the design process of the Reva Force FX Elite Lightsaber, the innovative tech behind it, and the joy of sharing new releases with fans.A surprise introduction in The Mandalorian, Clone Wars, and Rebels, the Darksaber is the only lightsaber wielded by someone other than the Jedi and Sith. That's because the blade isn't a tube like a torch of the kind you see with competitors such as Encalife. It has LEDs running all the way up, providing a more consistent light from top to bottom.

This allows for the Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Elite Lightsaber's special effects, too. For starters, it paves the way for more gradual ignition. Rather than just turning on, this one steadily lights up just like in the movies. Additionally, that's what makes its 'blaster deflection' mode (where little spots of light pop up as if you're swatting away laser bolts) and its 'wall cutting' (where the tip of the blade glows red as if you're slicing through metal bulkheads) work. Almost too effective, actually. Because of where the button is positioned, and because of how awkward these original sabers can be to hold (what with them being constructed from odds and ends), it's all too easy to hit it by accident. Particularly if you're wearing chunky Vader gloves. INCLUDES STAND AND DISPLAY EMITTER: Proudly display this Lightsaber on the included stand, with or without the removable blade, and show off the included display emitterDue to Yoda’s small size, his lightsaber was smaller in the movies. It is also smaller with this replica. Even though it is shorter than the other lightsabers, it still has the same quality. First introduced in The Clone Wars and most recently seen in The Mandalorian, Ahsoka has had a variety of lightsabers from her time as a Jedi and her time after. She has carried one and two lightsabers, from colors ranging from white to green to blue. The blade can easily come off for display of just the hilt. Additionally, you can choose to display the Kyber crystal in or outside of the lightsaber. Obi-Wan Kenobi is set years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced the corruption of his friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned Sith Lord Darth Vader. With this Force FX Elite Lightsaber, featuring advanced LED technology, fans can imagine Star Wars action and adventure.

This Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Lightsaber is based on Kenobi’s lightsaber in Star Wars: A New Hope. Hasbro later released a different Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Lightsaber based on Kenobi’s first lightsaber from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. 1. Luke Skywalker Force FX Lightsaber (Blue Blade) Chris Reiff: Yeah. A lot of times they'll be developing the props, taking them into the studio, shooting reference photos of them, and sending us the photos the next day. One of the many great aspects of the partnership and trust we have with Lucasfilm is early access to very detailed references. In this case that took the form of a lot of photographs, 3D data, sound files, and conversations about when the saber would appear. We worked with Lucasfilm closely as we developed our own CAD [computer-aided design] from the reference, making sure we really studied every little detail and feature. This includes a lot of little notes and drawings, even a few early models just to make sure the size was right and felt good to wield. For the team to make it look just right, be able to be configured multiple ways like in the show, and fit more than two lightsabers worth of tech into it was a lot of work but we are excited about how cool it is. What is special about this lightsaber besides the color, is the fact it has a white core, with purple glowing on the outside, following the exact look of most sabers seen in the movies. Each one of these replica lightsabers from Hasbro’s Force FX series is a great collector’s item. Built with great quality and detail, and accuracy to the source material. We hope you enjoyed this article and that it will help you channel your inner Jedi…or Sith! More importantly, this iteration of Vader’s iconic red saber is based on his appearance in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, meaning it reflects all the small tweaks and updates done to the design for the latest on-screen duels between Vader and Kenobi.

While most standard Force FX lightsabers use a fixed blade (not removable), all of the Force FX Elite Lightsabers use a removable blade. Force FX Elite Lightsabers also feature more advanced visual effects. Sometimes a specific Force FX lightsaber model may include specialized accessories or effects tailored to the particular lightsaber.

What Do the Colours of a Lightsaber Mean?

PREMIUM DETAILING FOR AUTHENTICITY: The Obi-Wan Kenobi Force FX Elite Lightsaber features design and deco based on Obi-Wan Kenobi ‘s iconic blue Lightsaber featured in the Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi series The Kit Fisto lightsaber is a rare standard Force FX lightsabers (i.e. non-Force FX Elite lightsaber) to feature a removable blade. The Kit Fisto Force FX lightsaber also includes a belt clip for wearing the hilt and barrel plug to put in the blade holder when the blade is removed. 11. Supreme Leader Kylo Ren Force FX Elite Lightsaber This attention to detail is present throughout the entire build. Whether it's the real metal screws it uses for decoration or the flexible wires protruding near the top, the Vader Force FX goes the extra mile - and it didn't need to.
