Confused because I’d heard absolutely nothing about it and shocked that it was at such a steep discount. Tool is a very visually driven band and I expected something a little more visually interesting to look at than what they chose for the album cover. Digital versions have 10 songs (they include 'Litanie Contre La Peur', 'Legion Inoculant' and 'Mockingbeat', which are not included on the CD) and are slightly under 87 minutes long. Sounds equal to or at least as good as the CD box set, which my 11-year-old son has, also an excellent product.

Glossy cover with dark elements in matte and 6-sided fractal star on back, eyes centered in star points, silver on black geometric repeating pattern on sides. My previoulsy purchased copies of Undertow and Opiate were underwhelming, particularly given that I generally have appreciated early punk rock tool more than later prog rock Tool. Matte finish with 9-sided geometric pattern on back, no solid circles at points, sides have a gloss geometric repeating pattern. I kept waiting for it to break open because it felt like there was a buildup many times but it just never happened. The sound is so unbelievably rich and being a huge fan of Danny Carey, there are sounds from him I can hear on vinyl i could never hear on mp3 or cd. Tool members include drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor and vocalist Maynard James Keenan.

The first official vinyl version made available was the ultra deluxe 5LP boxset, when copies signed by the band were sold exclusively at Tool shows from February 20 2022. It might have to do with the fact that the lacquers are cut by Bernie Grundman and that someone IRL oversaw the plating and pressing procedure.I just want to play the record and having to open the big heavy book and take a new disc out after every side feels like more effort than it’s worth.

Reading these comments, I realize now that being late to the party turned out to be a blessing in disguise.The official vinyl LP versions have 9 songs (they include 'Legion Inoculant' and 'Mockingbeat', which are not included on the CD) and are roughly 84 and a half minutes long.
