Compression artifacts creep in more Music Box Films has set Leonor Will Never Die for Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital release on 3/14, with Full Time expected to follow on DVD on 4/19 (and Digital on 3/14), and Rodeo set to arrive in theaters on 3/17 and Digital on 4/18. Much was made of the fact that Stallone wrote the screenplay in three days. But, as we know, filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and the script went through numerous changes with director John G. Avildsen having much input, indeed whilst Stallone is rightly lauded for the film, Avildsen should also take much of the credit, he did, after all win an Oscar for Best Director. But not only that, Bill Conti’s outstanding score ( Let it Fly must be one of the most awe-inspiring songs of all time), as well as the universally well-acted parts from the likes of Talia Shire, Burt Young, Carl Weathers, Burgess Meredith, and Joe Spinell. James Crabe makes sure the film, despite is meagre budget, looks amazing, with Steadicam movements giving a flow at the time barely seen.
