I'm only disappointed that the tank itself didn't turn out to have purple highlights in place of the dark red like one rumor had suggested. Would have been absolutely perfect! Moreover, unsightly gaps are present around the frontal armour because 1x2 plates with side rails prevent the canopy from closing fully. They are necessary as the canopy could otherwise fold inside the vehicle, but the gaps remain quite frustrating. There is space for two minifigures here, although accessing the second is difficult and they are not properly secured on a 2x3 tile. Also ( at least in terms of production) they are much cheaper for Lego to make, no printing or complex parts ( complex as in how minifig Torsos and legs have moving parts but as still one part). I believe the troopers appearing in Clone Wars S7 are supposed to be a branch of 91st Recon, like Lightning Squad, his unit during the Ryloth arc, as the armor color better matches. On the whole, yes: it’s a pretty beefy (if brief) build, and there can really be no complaints about those minifigures. Seeing figures from non-canon sources is also nice because it brings plenty of nice surprises while opening up more possibilities for sets!Dual-molding takes at least as much time for one shot as regular parts do for two, if you want crisp divisions like arms and legs. For stuff with a marbled look, like the original Bohrok faceplate, they inject all of the colors simultaneously, so no waiting for one color to cool before you can swap mold sections and inject the next color. What we actually need more of is Super Battle Droids (they haven’t been in a LEGO set since 2015!), but we’ll take these for the easy, throwaway addition that they are. Mainly because the star attraction is obviously the Clone Troopers, and they go a long way to filling out the Republic’s rainbow army – Star Wars is inherently silly, remember – with detailed printing from head to (literal) toes.
