Hunting Adeline" seamlessly continues from where its predecessor left off, crafting a narrative that delves into profound darkness before ultimately ascending into the light. The story culminates in the climactic reunion of the Hunter and his Diamond. Just as my eyes were beginning to focus, my vision blurs once more, and my eyelids grow heavy. I can’t fight the deep pull to just close my eyes. To top it off we get modern references too. I don't like when authors insert modern world references into their writing. No one wants to read about Cheerios when they're reading a dark smutty romance.
Of course the heroine doesn’t believe him so he takes Archie home with her. This is where it gets juicy now. She decides to take him into the sunroom, so Zade could see her get fingered by Archie. Which by the way…was pretty hot nglIf you enjoyed this one, take a gander to my next standalone, Does It Hurt? It's an enemies to lovers psych thriller, and I'm so very excited for you to meet Enzo and Sawyer! Within this treacherous environment, Adeline, known as the Diamond, grapples with ceaseless peril. Her relentless pursuit of freedom triggers a profound transformation, molding her into a lethal angel of demise, her determination to break free from her captors growing stronger with each passing moment.
Still it was not enough. I don’t think anything will ever be enough to justify the horror Addie went through. It all happened because of Zade. Don’t dare denying it. This book is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, organiza- tions, places, events and incidents either are the product of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events, or locales is entirely coincidental.
Sure, he is doing something good in this life by killing pedos and abusers. But maaaaan does he need to learn some boundaries. I hang up the phone, angrily smashing my finger into the screen until I hear the telltale chime that the call has ended.
EDIT: I am reducing my rating because I feel like it gave people the wrong impression. I do not like nor support that rapist everyone thinks is a romantic, I liked it for the writing and vibes only. Zade can eat shit. I only liked some of his lines but not his actions. Idk why he is so praised when he’s a hypocrite😭If the first portion of the book broke my heart, Addie’s recovery was like soothing salve for my wounds. She doesn’t sugarcoat the aftereffects of her tragedy and is brutally forthright about how she feels about herself. I can’t get out of this place where the men are monsters and the others aren’t what they seem to be. There’s a point where the heroine goes to a club and meets this guy, Archie. While she’s at the club, Zade messages her I never understood the tension between them, but as I got older and started to comprehend Mom’s snarkiness and underhanded insults for what they were, it made sense.
