About this deal
Since their release in 2018, our LP-6 studio monitors received accolades for their sonic accuracy, low distortion, and hyper-realistic imaging. Full output specifications, along with maximum listening distances, can be found in our user’s manual. Note: The roll off rate of this speaker is sharp and therefore some noise was unavoidable at 25Hz which causes a spike in the response here. With a generous dynamic headroom of 20dB, it can consistently produce 85dB sound output without any issues and can be heard clearly from a distance of up to 2. Project Lone Pine Powered Studio Monitor is crafted for the requirements of discerning audiophiles and professionals!
If you're switching from passive to these active speakers, there will be a significant volume reduction but I'll take clarity over power. added a bit more “air” to some of my favorite tracks and really helped cymbals with a bit more “shimmer”. They both sounded great, but I felt the JBLs were boosting the low end and high end a bit much for my personal tastes. Furthermore, the Boundary EQ settings have all been updated based on user-feedback, delivering tuning options more tailored for real-world scenarios.I love the switch on the back, which optimizes sound according to where you do place the monitors (against a wall, on a stand etc). Bass response is not boosted or overhyped, but you can be sure that you’re hearing the bass that you have on the track.
Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. I heard my friend's V1 monitors and the hiss was unbearable, but on these V2's, trust me, you wont hear a thing, they got rid of that problem. I dont have any of the audio abnormalities the OP is experiencing, on my setup bass is full and deep across the spectrum, highs are soft and not overbearing, and the mids are clear and cracking.Despite so many rave reviews among studio engineers, Kali Audio saw room for improvement with the LP-6's already impressive sonic signature. Secondly, there isnt a hiss unless your ear is 3cm away from the monitors, and even there, its slightly noticeable. This is a useful starting point, but many users find that angling the speakers slightly out so that the third vertex of the triangle is a foot or so behind the head of the listener will render a better stereo image. The PreSonus monitors are good, and they were what I could afford at the time, but the Kali's are so much more accurate I was astounded. This single studio speaker emits sounds as they are in your mix - no alterations, boosts, or suppressions.
