[3] Broadcast [ edit ] The Catch is a Channel 5 and My5 four-part drama series set in the west of England, adapted by Michael Crompton [1] from the 2020 novel of the same name by T.M.Logan. [2] Starring Jason Watkins, Aneurin Barnard, Poppy Gilbert and Cathy Belton. The first episode was broadcast on Channel 5 and My5 in the UK on 25 January 2023.

Clever and compelling, T.M. Logan has written another belter of a novel. Totally addictive from start to finish The Catch is very highly recommended and it is another must-read from this brilliant author. The Catch is a hugely suspenseful story and the tension builds up slowly, as Ed travels down an increasingly darker path. How far will a father go? Throughout, the reader is left to wonder about Ryan. But also about Ed himself. It isn’t until the end, when the pieces of the puzzle start to come together, that you realise how cleverly T.M. Logan has plotted this story.

T.M. Logan's best yet. Fully delivers on its killer premise. Unsettling and so, so entertaining. The perfect thriller' Caz Frear He shares his concerns with Claire, but she believes Ed is being overcautious. A family tragedy from years earlier plus a bad breakup for Abbie with an old boyfriend has made Ed suspicious of everyone. Ryan, Claire pleads, is a great guy. He volunteers in the community and has a solid corporate job. He takes care of Abbie and is clearly interested in becoming a member of the family. Why can’t Ed see any of that?

Ed is now determined to discover and expose who the real Ryan is. Yes, he may have disliked Abbie’s other boyfriends in the past. I mean, no one is really good enough for Ed’s daughter. But this time it’s different. This time Ed sees true evil behind Ryan’s eyes! THE CATCH, Tim’s thrillers have sold more than two million copies in the UK and are published in translation in 22 other countries including Italy, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, South Korea, Romania and the Netherlands. The rest of the family believe that Ryan is the perfect catch, so whys Ed's intuition telling him something different?I was born in Berkshire and grew up in Reading, the youngest of three boys and a fully-fledged bookworm from a very young age. I read history at Westfield College, part of the University of London, and went on to do a postgrad at Cardiff University. Ed feels a hidden shadow behind Ryan’s eyes and this makes him suspicious and it goes on and Ed had to pay a lot for his intuition including his job.
