About this deal

This actually doesn’t make a difference in the end, because once the products have been spread across the face, they look the same. As a test, I asked my husband to squeeze a little bit of one of the primers onto my hand while I had my eyes closed, and then I opened my eyes and guessed which one it was. Although I, personally, have normal, combination skin, I have read that this product has worked for people with oily skin as well. If you have spotted ethylhexylglycerin on the ingredient list, most probably you will see there also the current IT-preservative, phenoxyethanol.

I wish you the courage to be vulnerable, the self-love to recognize your beauty whether you look in your heart or in the mirror, the peace to be content with you have, and the curiosity to pursue the dreams that live in your soul. Bottom line: Licorice is a great skincare ingredient with significant depigmenting, anti-inflammatory and even some antioxidant properties.Super common little helper ingredient that helps products to remain nice and stable for a longer time. When the weather was warmer and we had a few heat waves I found this to be too moisturizing for my skin and it left my face looking a bit too dewy. It has enough coverage suitable to even out the skin nicely and I didn’t have to pack it on to get the coverage I wanted. Today, I’m sharing a post comparing my beloved Becca Backlight Priming Filter to the Physician’s Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer, which is somewhat new to my collection. It just seems to impart a healthy glowy evenness to my skin when applied lightly on its own, or under a very sheer foundation.

Backlight Technology encourages a lit-from-within glow, adding a sheer layer that’s powered by luminosity. It is a known fragrance allergen and as of 1st of March 2022, it has been banned in the EU due to animal studies showing a possible link to infertility (in rats - so no need to panic even if you used a product before with Butylphenyl Methylpropional). Speaking of Becca’s highlighters, I have been really obsessed with their poured version of highlighter, it’s a cream and the shades are so pretty. According to famous dermatologist, Leslie Baumann while tocopheryl acetate is more stable and has a longer shelf life, it’s also more poorly absorbed by the skin and may not have the same awesome photoprotective effects as pure Vit E.

As you might guess from the “pro” part, it’s a precursor to vitamin B5 (whose fancy name is pantothenic acid). However if you have really good skin already and don’t care too much for a primer, and prefer a golden base then this is for you. The Australian-born makeup brand was the first to promote a pared-back, natural and cool-girl aesthetic to women of all skin tones and ages, and its quality was outstanding.

Although these aren’t recommended usages for this product, I have discovered that they work well, and find that finding various uses for products increases their value. I have hyperpigmentation issues and though it doesn’t hide anything, it makes my skin look so well cared for that those issues don’t seem so pressing. It’s a solid white stuff that’s very alkaline and used in small amounts to adjust the pH of the product and make it just right. It offers everything as described: smooth lightweight coverage, buildable pigment, blurs imperfections and gives the skin an ultra soft glow. One thing that people may enjoy is that it doesn’t have the silicone feel that a lot of other primers have.
