About this deal
I get that our past shouldn’t hound us forever, but you should be really remorse about things you do and in a time space of more than one year you should realize that when a girl cries, she’s hurt?
This is one of the best books I have read all year, and I think I'm falling in love with Penelope Douglas! C. goes out with Jared for a time, I found it hard to believe Tate would turn a blind eye or feel guilty for distancing herself from a friend who would do that. being fully aware of Jared's assholish mistreatments towards Tate, doesn't hesitate in pursuing him after falling victim for his perfect looks *cringe* and insists on her best friend to let go of the past and accept him for who he is (in case you didn't know: a manipulative bag of dicks). Their books have been translated into twenty languages and include The Fall Away Series, The Devil’s Night Series, and the stand-alones, Misconduct, Punk 57, Birthday Girl, Credence, and Tryst Six Venom.
I used to feel like a superhero, riding my bike over the dangerously slick roads, or maybe an Olympic athlete enduring rough trials to make it to the finish line.
Tate is essentially a good girl gone a little astray, throughout the story she has conflicting behaviours, on one side shes the studious all round high school brain, on the flip side she's the ball buster, a girl who is not afraid to stand up for herself after years of hiding away. It’s simply Aflame and Next to Never in one volume and the ONLY way you are able to get either in paperback.Read I think it’s quite likely got me back into reading Romance again after losing my way with it around 2014. I knew that his past was no excuse for his behaviour yet I wanted him to have that happy ending and end up with Tate. The book took me through a range of emotion and even left me teary in places seeing the friendship they'd once had, the hurt that was left over, the anger that was thrown around and the hearts that were left bruised. After a point, it was obvious that Tate was championed as having a love/hate relationship with Jared despite the horrible things he said and did to her. The hero genuinely was a bully in the first part of the book and to be honest, I wasn't sure how I was ever going to fall for him.
