I found this book a balm for my soul, and am grateful to Laura for bravely penning such a beautiful account of an illness that is rarely talked about. I probably wouldn’t use the book as a whole class text as I think it could potentially cause unnecessary stress and worry for some children however I can see how useful it would be for some to see a character coping with a similar experience to themselves.
