A big departure from the calone heavy 90s classic of the original, which I do also enjoy--this one has its own distinct personality. I can actually see a man pulling this one off as well since what's coming through on my skin is pink pepper, freesia and then a non-descript oceanic scent all mixing together nicely. I don’t like the guava and the peppers and there’s plenty of sandalwood in it that brings me headache.

While I think of this as essentially a summer perfume, I am happy to wear this any time; any season, day and evening, hot or cold, and I especially love the peppery note that seems to come to the surface again and again. It is fresh (but not sour), enveloping and at the same time some refreshing with the addition of sweets.A luminous combination of Bondi Beach flowers and fresh Mexican lime is embraced by salty, sun-kissed amber facets. Cool Water Wave Woman begins with fresh fruit top notes of watermelon mango passion fruit and guava over floral mid notes of peony freesia and heliotrope.

Top notes are Watermelon, Guava, Passionfruit and Mango; middle notes are Pink Pepper, Peony and Freesia; base notes are Musk, Iris, Sandalwood and Amber.I don't smell the melon that a lot of people have referred to and after about 5 minutes I'm left with a sort of pencil lead smell, but it's not unpleasant. I didn't care much for the original Cool Water, because I find it a little too sharp and clean-syntethic smelling for my taste but I really enjoy this one.
