The film was inspired by several real life killings, from the Hillside Strangler being two cousins to the ghost rapes of Bolivia, where women in a Bolivian Mennonite community were convinced that ghosts or demons were attacking them in their sleep when it was really men using animal anesthetic. It isn't sensationalized for the sake of sensationalism, but it keeps a chilling, "this house possessed" attitude from start to finish. It sent me and my husband crazy how totally irritating her damn voice was and the relief when she wasn't on the screen. Hostile Wildlife - Wolves roam the map and they are very sneaky, you will need to keep your head on a swivel when you are out roaming around. I won't say much, because I don't want to give anything away, but this is a film I feel is very much worth checking out!

If they could've just extended the budget to a remotely decent actress and a few tweaks this film would've been a solid 7. As soon as I put the dvd on I thought oh no its one of them cheap horror, which it was🙄 it was rather slow and not scary in the slightest. It’s a haunted house film, but the main focus of the story isn’t the haunting, it’s more of a detective story following a breadcrumb trail, occasionally interrupted by ghostly presences that really wish she’d pay more attention to the things they’re scrawling on walls and mirrors.Horror has been my favourite genre for decades, but with films like this I think it's time to give up hope. By the end of it, you’ll be glad you did, because frankly any movie that manages to genuinely scare me enough to make me squeal “Fuck my Life! This is another film where to give too much away would be to do the film a disservice, because after all this the recommendation is going to be that this is a film worth seeing. No one even myself can judge if a film is going to be good or bad after 5 minutes, you have to give it time before you can decide it’s not for you. It's better than most of the WalMart straight to streaming dreck out there and certainly worth a watch.
