I was particularly struck by her generosity of spirit in helping others during her most difficult of times. She was known for her podcast, You, Me and the Big C, which was broadcast while she was ill with breast cancer, and in which she discussed issues and treatment of the disease. Heartbreaking extracts from presenter Rachael Bland's memoir written to her young son Freddie have been revealed. I was in awe of her and how she coped with such a horrendous situation always with a huge smile and masses of gorgeous glamour!

I have listened to the amazing podcast with admiration, in the darkest of days Rachael has inspired others to talk about cancer and has been incredibly brave in doing so, with nothing off limits.
