JOYO CAB BOX has more interface, much bigger screen with more buttons compared with rival’s similar products, it’s quite user-friendly. It has 4 tube power amp simulations, 20 preset Impulse Responses (Cabinet Simluations) and 11 classic microphone models to choose from.

As a matter of fact, a (pleasing) 3D effect can be heard in IR's used with the Joyo and is not quite there with the Nux, as if Joyo had embedded a really slight reverb or short delay permanently enabled. The Revolution Series of guitar pedals are the 4th generation of guitar effects from JOYO, and have some very cool design features. Look, I know that it is makred down as a cabinet sim and a IR loader, but I'm really confused about the "power amp" section and some people say you need a preamp and whatever. That's where the differences of distortion appears clearly in the lowest line - with a THD rising high enough to dominate the frequency response of the low mids, in the case of the Jensen emulated by the Nux.I bought it yesterday and while I'm testing it I've noticed some noises, so I record all 3 outs and all of them produce this surrounding 13KHz noise tone.

To be honest, I'm not sure to hear it as such: it's the demultiplication of single impulse responses by the amp sim of the Nux which mainly makes me think that Nux has included a kind of reverberation in their power tubes emulation. The Cab box makes everything about recording or performing so much easier and authentic with a massive array of adjustable parameters to achieve the custom guitar set-up of your choice. Enough to be annoying in some cases: if I plug a Line Out coming from a tube Power amp to the Joyo, the IR is noticeably delayed compared to the real cab. I don't care as much about the amp/cab stuff and was more interested in the EQ-- but only if precise frequencies can be dialed in. The JOYO Cab Box has a straightforward and user friendly interface that fits on the pedalboard, it offers full configuration and eliminates complex menu options found on amps, tablets and computers.The 5 band EQ is fully customisable, setting the 5 bands from 80hz to 11khz and level adjustments as required for each.
