You’ll find yourself sucked into this jungle themed game where without notice hazard and mayhem are unleashed on every turn. If you ever end up visiting Tenerife, I can highly recommend the truly fantastic escape rooms in Playa de las Americas. Sometimes, the gm had to prompt us to re-position items; other times, she straight up manually overrode the mechanics from the control room. Our game master was really helpful, especially considering that this is apparently one of the harder escape rooms.

While it wasn’t perfect, wooded environments are some of the most difficult to create and 60 Out clearly put a lot into the set. The escape room is based on the film Jumanji (1995), and it’s sequel Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.

We have been to many escape rooms at home and abroad and none are as well put together as the rooms at Island Phobia. I especially enjoy the beginning room in which my group were to figure out a way to transport ourselves into the digital jungle within the video game. Seriously, check us out, we donned our jungle adventurers costumes, and she's able to capture all that essence in the best angle. Have to leave the room and walk downstairs to the second part, takes away that magical moment where the set opens and you discover a new room you weren't expecting.

If there were members of your group that were late then that may well have changed the experience somewhat for you but you should have been given clues and not answers so I will address this with the staff. Although our Game Master was very poor, the room and its puzzles was never going to be solvable without a steady stream of hints and GM bypasses.Once we were in the video game, we each selected a character and received an ability based on that role.
