We cannot get freeview on the tv in the lounge where we have an aerial point and we have purchased booster aerials in the past for my daughters tv that didnt work. It's actually owned by Argos's parent company Sainsbury's and it makes everything from dishwashers to tablets and, of course, TVs. Before anyone says, I tried all the tips available online (stuff like the time etc is set to network preferred. the only thing that I have a problem with is that when I have mine infront of the windows, some how incets were attracted to the light leaking from the back and were able to crawl inside where they died!
