About this deal

The balance of the finance agreement is payable directly to Novuna Consumer Finance in equal monthly instalments by monthly direct debit. I did not expect macro capabilities in this lens before it was announced, and to have the ability to focus as close as 1. The 24-200mm VR isn’t a bad lens, as you can see in our review, but narrow-aperture superzooms aren’t for everyone. I've covered cameras at PCMag for the past 10 years, which has given me a front row seat for the DSLR to mirrorless transition, the smartphone camera revolution, and the mainstream adoption of drones for aerial imaging.

The 24-70mm f/4 S excels for travel due to its more compact size, but if that means you have to bring along another lens to cover the telephoto range, the 24-120mm f/4 S suddenly becomes a clearer choice.

My answer is this: you get the 24-120mm f/4 unless small/light is important, then you get the 24-70mm f/4 (preferably at the kit lens pricing). betters the kitted 24-70mm F4 S in zoom, and offers up the resolving power to match high-pixel cameras like the Z 7 II and Z 9. The Nikon Z 24-120mm f/4 S's focal range provides an angle of view of 20° 20' at 24mm and 84° at 120mm. Nikon (correctly) doesn’t label the 24-120mm f/4 S as a macro lens, but it still has great potential for close-up photos.

Was this an intentional ploy on Nikon's part to confuse competitors, or simply that one design version of a longer mid-range zoom won out as we got close to production? It’s sealed to protect from dust and drips, and Nikon's Fluorine coating on the front element repels dirt and easily wipes clean.Cropping a 70mm shot down to achieve the angle of view of 120mm would throw away 66% of the pixels, reducing a 45MP shot to a mere 15MP. Sweeping landscapes, impressive architecture, lively street photography, captivating portraits—and so much more.

It produces very sharp images with almost no field-curvature or colour aberrations and can confidently be used wide open and in challenging contra-light situations. HD Digital Frame is a great way to put your portfolio on display and a great way to surface forgotten memories.Sealed to protect from dust and drips, the NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S includes Nikon's Fluorine coating on the front element, which repels dirt and easily wipes clean. com and PC Magazine are among the federally registered trademarks of Ziff Davis and may not be used by third parties without explicit permission. You can record hours of 8K video footage at 30p—or go all the way with a firmware update and record RAW 8K video in ultra-smooth 60p. Overall, it loses one element (16 elements in 13 groups), but adds some complexity in the elements that remain (3 aspherical and 3 low dispersion elements plus 1 combined aspherical/low dispersion element, compared to the F-mount's 3 aspherical and 2 low dispersion elements). The Z 24-70mm f/4 S, for example, may look meager by comparison – but pair it with the Nikon Z 14-30mm f/4 S and Tamron 70-300mm f/4.
