About this deal

The C32G75T has a local dimming feature, but it performs terribly, and even though it displays a wider color gamut, its HDR performance isn't much better. They even have different panel types as the Samsung has a much higher contrast ratio, and it performs better in dark rooms, while the HP has wider viewing angles, making it better for co-op gaming. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75 is a higher-end version of the Samsung Odyssey G7/G70B S32BG70, so it's better overall. The large 32-inch screen lets you open multiple windows at once, and the 4k resolution helps deliver sharp text.

The Samsung Odyssey G7 has a great contrast ratio, so it displays deep blacks, which is normal from a VA panel. You can see the pronounced screen curvature in the image above which is likely to be one of those things you either love or hate. However, it performs worse in dark rooms because blacks look gray due to its low contrast ratio, and its edge-lit local dimming feature doesn't do much to improve the contrast. An X-rite i1 Display Pro Plus colorimeter was used to validate the black depth and contrast ratios due to lower end limitations of the i1 Pro device. There's also a sharp cut-off at the monitor's peak brightness, resulting in a loss of fine details in bright scenes.Although it has a directional pad underneath the screen, it isn't easy to navigate the menu with it. However, the LG has an IPS panel with wide viewing angles, gets brighter, and has a higher 4k resolution. However, it still works if you set it to something higher and the frame rate of your source drops down to 60 fps. While it's a better choice than some more expensive models, you can still find the Gigabyte M32U for less, and it has more productivity features that make it versatile, like a USB-C input and KVM switch. The Samsung Odyssey G7 C32G75T and the Gigabyte M28U use different panel technologies, each with strengths and weaknesses.

The Samsung is available in a 27-inch and 32-inch size, while the Gigabyte is only available in a 27-inch. This contrast was much better than any TN Film or IPS panel could achieve, but was a bit under the 2500:1 spec, being measured at 2048:1 after calibration. It's made of good-quality plastic that feels solid, and there aren't any obvious issues with this monitor. You can use our settings and try our calibrated ICC profile if you wish, which are available in our ICC profile database. The Samsung uses a VA panel and is available in a 27-inch or 32-inch size, while the MSI uses an IPS panel and is only available in a 27-inch. That first venture in to 240Hz VA was also limited to a 1080p panel and it appeared that this technology was not ready for the jump to 240Hz, and may never be. The local dimming feature helps fix any issues, but there are still some problems, as you can see in the photo.
