About this deal

If you’re running a pair of Makita 6.0Ah batteries, high gets you about 1 hour, 40 minutes of runtime. Medium extends to 4 hours, 30 minutes and low can run for 8 hours, 30 minutes. The Makita DML809 LXT is a large heavy duty Worklight with 96 LEDs which can be powered by mains or batteries. The light can be angled to direct the beam where it's required from -30 to 210 degrees (240 Degrees). The DML809 has a sturdy frame and the body has rubberised bumpers and a carry handle. It has 3 Brightness settings - Low, Medium High. Battery or cord operated - compatible with 18V/14.4V LXT batteries.

The 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Cordless LED Headlamp is a portable, hands-free light source for wherever the job takes you. The high-luminance 1.6W single L.E.D. bulb provides 100 lumens, and up to 33 hours of continuous illumination on a single charge of an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery (sold separately). The Headlamp can be powered by Makita 18V Lithium-Ion batteries with the battery holder and 47” cord that connects the battery holder to the lamp head. The lamp head adjusts 0 degrees to 90 degrees with 7 positive stops for improved lighting on your work surface. The non-slip rubber strap keeps the lamp head securely attached to hard hats. It can also be used as a stationary light by attaching the lamp head to the battery holder. Up to 1.7 hours of continuous illumination with two 6.0Ah 18V LXT® battery on high (batteries and charger not included) Holes in the frame under the light make this light tripod-ready. They’re not threaded, though, so you won’t be able to repurpose your laser tripod for it. Pivoting Frame The light itself is very even and neutral, though there are some artifacts near the extreme edges. The full throw extends out about 160º and its effective work area is about 140º. Additional Features Weatherproof

The Bottom Line

Tightening knobs on either side allow you to adjust the tension on the light and pivot it to an advantageous angle. It allows for roughly 220º of rotation. You miss out on an extreme down angle, but with so much output and a wide throw, we don’t see that as an issue. Pricing The stand enables the lights to be rotated up to 360 degrees, with a design that allows rapid installation and light removal. Two additional modes let you work with 2,000 or 4,000 lumens when you don’t need full power. Those modes extend your runtime significantly. Up to 8.5 hours of continuous illumination with two 6.0Ah 18V LXT® battery on low (batteries and charger not included) There’s a cord wrap on the side. Considering the included power cord is 8 feet long, we think it’s a more helpful solution than trying to build in a storage area somewhere on the housing. Carry Handle

Battery or corded operation; compatible with 18V LXT® batteries (batteries and charger not included) You can also run the light on AC power and there’s a cord that comes with it. Unlike some pigtail cords, this one has a reasonable 8-foot length, giving you a shot at not dragging out an extension cord when you’re close to a power source. This Makita work light has a legit amount of output and it takes a good amount of power to run it. It has slots for a pair of 18V batteries but it’s an 18V light and can run on just one. A battery in the second port helps with the runtime. Kenny’s life around power tools started early. His grandfather was an airplane mechanic in WW2 and took up woodworking as a hobby after retiring from the power industry. Building everything from bookshelves to lazy Susans, he became extremely accomplished while his young grandson observed, fascinated at the way raw wood could turn into something both beautiful and functional. In fact, Kenny still uses several pieces that his grandfather made more than 30 years ago. Work Light can be mounted on optional tripod light stand individually or with two Work Lights (tripod light stand not included)The Makita DML809 is capable of putting out 10,000 lumens with its 96 LED chips. Working in tandem on a tripod, you can blast 20,000 lumens with a pair of these lights. That’s pretty significant considering our high-output tripod lights“only” have 6,500 lumens coming from each light. With its 3 mode operation, the DML809 delivers 10000 lumens on high, 4000 lumens on medium, and 2000 lumens on low
