Let’s get to the ARM processor. Inside the Xiaomi Book S sits a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Unlike the Surface Pro X, you cannot exchange the SSD yourself. And again unlike the Pro X, there is no version with LTE or 5G which is a bit disappointing. With that being said, I can imagine that the Xiaomi Book S can be an interesting choice for some. For instance, if you mainly want an Office tablet and don’t want to use traditional Windows apps but love the Windows desktop interface. Windows 11 in S Mode on an ARM chip is still better than the Samsung DeX desktop mode, in my opinion. And it is cheaper than the Surface Pro 8. Benchmarks show that the Robo & Kala fits in exactly where you'd expect it to with other Windows on ARM devices of its calibre, but that means it's not going to outpace any Intel devices with a recent Intel Core i5 or above.

You can get the Surface Pro 9 5G configured with either 8GB or 16GB of RAM, and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage out of the box. Like any other Surface Pro, it also has an optional pen and keyboard accessories, with support for wireless charging the pen inside the keyboard cover itself. Do you want an ARM processor because of its longer battery life? Well, my battery test shows that the runtime is not amazing. And if you don’t even need Windows, then why not get an iPad or Android tablet?On the inside, it features an Intel Pentium GOLD or Intel Core M3 processor with up to 8GB RAM, but it remains quiet while running. It has a great display for the price, and it has support for Surface Pen for all the handwriting and drawing you might want to do. It also has an upgradable SSD, so if you ever need to swap out your drive for a new one, you can do just that without having to break open the entire device to do so. Battery life is pretty good, with usage lasting around 7-8 hours on a single charge. Thanks to the ARM processor, it consumes little power when you put it to sleep. So it should get you through a day just fine.I recently bought this device based off the earlier WC article alerting on the summer deal they had going. However, two big missing features from this device that you would assume are there but are not and that @Zac Bowden does not highlight in the review: There are a coupleadditional limitations you should know about ARM-based devices like the Surface Pro X beyond their inability to run 64-bit (x64) apps. Games won't run on the Surface Pro X if they use OpenGL greater than 1.1 or if they rely on "anti-cheat" drivers not made for ARM. Also, some third-party antivirus software can't be installed. By now, you must know that the primary function of this accessory is holding and elevating your tablet for versatile viewing and a comfortable work experience. Hence, ensure that the positioning screws of the mount arms are easy to adjust. You should be able to adjust the height, tilt, or rotate the unit conveniently as and when required. Build Quality

You can watch a couple of videos or even a movie just fine. But sure, the sound quality is not amazing and very far from an iPad Pro or so. The position of the speakers is not great because it’s on the lower end of the sides. That means when holding the tablet while watching something, you easily cover the speakers. Xiaomi Smart Pen So, should you get the Xiaomi Book S 12.4? Probably not. Don’t get me wrong, I like the Book S. It’s a cool tablet with good built quality, a pretty screen, a solid pen, and features like facial recognition. The keyboard cover is not perfect but fine too and I enjoyed working with it. We don't have the B3's entire spec sheet, so some details, like display specifications, are unclear. But Asus does mention the screen has a 16:10 aspect ratio, which should provide some extra screen real estate over traditional 16:9 displays. The resolution remains unknown, but we're assuming it'll be around the 1080P ballpark.
