About this deal

New version” is still good, without a strong hint of incense, patchouli with its bitterness dominates the whole game! Well all in all, this is a tough one, I'm really not a fan now because of the 'Dad' smell and I didn't like it on him, but I've smelt this one on others and me and I thought it smells pretty good, so body chemistry wise this is tough.

Don't get me wrong, this scent is good, but there is a time and a place for this guy instead of an all-arounder.This is what people in high school smelled like in the 90's and what half the guys at any bar smell like on any given night. Do not think that this is a more generic take on this fragrance, it smells pretty unique despite that it's a limited flanker. I do think the incense was a bit too much and it did not do well with the sweet notes that comes in the dry down. I'm a fan at first sniff, although I'm disappointed that I discovered it right as it gets discontinued. Some people say it is more "mature" than the original AdG, and I'd be inclined to to agree with that, but that doesn't mean that you have to be 30 to pull it off.

But it will never take the place of the original Acqua for me, to me wearing Profumo is like dating someone who looks and acts too similar to an ex I used to love. As others have said just below, the incense with aquatic can really screw this up depending on the person. When my GF got home (she was gone all day and had no idea of what blend was on either arm) I had her sniff one side, then the other.

The incense and aquatic notes are classy, and simultaneously the patchouli has this "natural" wet green feel. I was out in the sun for about 30mins and it is a very sunny day here so that could have something to do with it. The opening is what kills this fragrance from being more of a "fresh" fragrance due to the spice and opposing aquatic notes, in my opinion. The dry down is addicting - sweet Incense and patchouli contrast the fresher notes beautifully to create something truly unique. For guys who are not into fragrances, but want to smell of a quality masculine perfume for a long time.

If it is discontinued or not - I have no idea - because in my country you can get it almost everywhere without a problem - but it is true that it does not have a magnetic plug (new formulation - which is also less powerful with less smoke/more green! Figured maybe I had just been wearing other scents that day and perhaps there was an olfactory conflict. You are making any excuse you can to hate on this fragrance simply because you bought the original Profumo, have no money left, and you want to keep your huge ego intact. It's a bold but not loud scent that suits more formal occasions for a well-spoken, collected individual. Yes my friends, that opening with the stronger incense/patchouli was still rocking out on my fragrance devouring skin.

This aquatic, aromatic fragrance opens with a splash of fresh calabrian bergamot, neroli and green tangerine.
