When you start pedalling from the stopped position, it feels a little as though someone is holding on to the seat post and trying to pull you back. It’s super steady, not super wide, and didn’t even flinch when I was doing crit turns on a road bike. Note I had to use separate cam straps as the uncluded tie downs straps were not long enough for this particular package. If you're heading off-road in any capacity, we would suggest looking at some of the single-wheel touring trailer options as they don't come with the same turnover risk and can track much straighter on tight paths. It is pathetic that I can testify to this, but in my defense, I know I’m not the only Travoy owner who sometimes forgets to pump up the tires.

On the topic of the kickstand, a really nice mod is to take the Travoy’s little rubber foot off (along with the retaining screw) and slide on a thicker, sturdier rubber cane tip in 5/8″ width. It’s still a bit more of a pain to use than simply strapping a backpack to your back and riding, but it’s nice not having the weight on your back and allows you to carry larger items than normal.Removable bags: The Travoy can be upgraded with our removable cargo bags that make it easy to load and unload gear. In the end, as the bike stand would have made locking the trailer a little difficult, I decided to take it with me.

And it’s yellow colour with reflective stripes makes the whole carriage like a beacon for the traffic surrounding.However, I understand that the latest model has made some changes to these features so they may have improved. I was riding extra carefully, slowing down over bumps and trying to avoid having one of the trailer's wheels going through a pothole. Child carrying trailers have an advantage of dual purpose: they often have a trunk for a bag or two of groceries, but without child can carry lots of stuff. From the initial unpacking and no-tool assembly to the Quick Hitch and more, everything is thoughtfully considered. The part that runs parallel to the ground and over your wheel could have acted as an extra rack itself.
