You get 248 channels including 47 premium ones with a decent roster of aerial-delivered non-4K Freeview channels and broadband-delivered BT TV ones. This pre-owned product has been professionally inspected, tested and cleaned by our qualified vendors. I’m NOT SAYING BT are going to drop YouView, but by the looks of it, it’s on it’s way out as the standard UI for free to air TV. While the box has 1TB of storage and the quality of the Ultra HD content is superb, a single sports channel won’t be enough to persuade everyone to upgrade.
Unfortunately, the box is no quicker to power up than the BT TV YouView box, taking a good 20 seconds or so from standby, even when taking the Smart and eco-friendly power up options into account. Our sources suggest that the update will probably follow around September 2021, and we suspect that part of the reason for this delay may be because it will need to integrate with their next gen BT Ultrafast Complete WiFi system and Smart Hub 3 router (WiFi 6 / 802. Various add ons can be bolted on to your package too, offering wider sports, entertainment and movie coverage as you go up the pricing bracket, with the 'VIP' set giving you everything – including full Sky Cinema and Sports access through the Now TV app.
They mention that it's very quick, and noticeably quicker when scrolling through the EPG and when launching players. I have looked up forums showing countless people crying out for this solution as far back as 2012 but they have still neglected to include it!
Some clarification is needed here, in fact - don't assume that a BT Infinity 1 subscription will suffice.
