I detect more of the apple in addition to the tonka bean and it gives a nice sweet compliment to the pepper note and leads to a really smooth, rich, dry down. as per my nose, the scent is 80% similar to it, but has lower quality components, hence the opening is quite harsh. The dirty baby wipe smell that sometimes dominates this, is caused by the note combination of amber and tonka bean; I notice that slight stench with other amber fragrances that I own. I would more then happily wear this to a formal occasion, very easy to wear, the lavender is gorgeous.

I don't like the opening, it's too sweet and headache indulging for me, but after 15 minutes becomes very pleasant and powdery. It is manly, peppety in the beginning, but in my skin the performance is not remarkable and in my opinion the fragance is good but no special for me. I blind bought this as one of my first ever fragrance collections, and to my surprise, this fragrance worked wonder on my skin. It should become compulsory to add the batch number in every "review" posted on Fragrantica so to avoid disappointment. However, it is not difficult to find other pages mentioning the presence of amber, tonka beans and leather, also at the base.F by Ferragamo Pour Homme is a fragrance for a man full of passionate energy who captivates without attracting attention. A really nice fragrance, "F pour Homme" by Salvatore Ferragamo has that nice fruity-lavender-pepper combo that I've enjoyed in many other scents. Olivier Polge does such a great job with the lavender and black pepper into tonka in F Pour Homme Black This scent plays nice, and comes across with a bit of class.

I get a good 7 hours of longevity from Ferragamo F Black and with arm length projection for the first 3 hours at least. As is gets to the drydown the lavender note calms down a bit and emerges what I assume it's a leather-floral-resin accord which gives some depth to the scent. I’m french and maybe half of our baby wipes smell like Artisan by John Varvatos… which was a hard pass for me.

I'm very surprised that I don't detect any pepper in this one, It's more or less like a sweet, crispy luxury soap/ shaving foam type of vibe. Lo más oriental que llego a captar (y lo único) es la nota de pimienta, pero hasta ahí es donde llega la cuestión. Top notes of apple and lavender essence give way to an elegant and sophisticated heart of black pepper and coriander seeds. When this fragrance first came out it was expensive but because you are able to pick it up cheaply many of you chatting nonsense about this great scent.

It's clean, sweet and a bit aromatic, perfect for the office or closed environments where you don't need to be noticed, since the sillage is really minimal. I seem to wear it pretty well and can definitely see any man, on up to their 50's, wearing this with no problem whatsoever. All the hype goes to F Black (mainly because of Jeremy), never smelled it, but this is a very good offer.Very good replacement for YSL La Nuit de l’Homme, though not clone but very similar in dry down, opening is bit different with distinct apple note in the opening, also a bit denser and heavy compared to YSL.

I didn’t find this fragrance to be terrible as some seem feel the to need to say…actually it’s pretty good. In creating F Black, I wonder if perfumer Olivier Polge consulted with father-dearest, Jacques, because to me F Black has a solid resemblance to OG Chanel Allure Homme. As many reviewers have mentioned, this scent is a masterpiece that deserves a place in your collection. I can smell an accord of a lotus flower when I oversprayed it, and it's pure compliment getter when that lotus comes out.When I am in a rush, or do not want to overpower anyone, or just do not feel good that day, I use this. If you’re doing a business meeting or you have to wear a suit and a tie for official occasion this is the perfect fragrance!
