Blood Tax on usually bleeds enemies in one combo on any of these two twinblades, AND it heals you, AND it staggers most enemies. Work lights are great for additional light when working in a darker setting and smaller flashlights are easier to carry around, but the size of the Brinkmann, rechargeable batteries and pistol grip make it THE light to have for inspecting paint condition. This next pair was taken at shutter speed of 1/3, so a bit more light will be visible in the photos. The first R1 comes out 2 frames slower than the longsword's but the following attacks' speed is extremely similar to Longsword's but with better damage and I think bigger hitboxes (especially with the Twinned Knight's which feels surprisingly reachy). I think they could lower str requirements on most greatshields a little bit since the guardboost difference is small compared to the best medium shields (best medium shields 14 str 55 guardboost / greatshields 30 str 65 guardboost). As you can clearly see, the area right around the reflection is fairly washed out with light in the LED photo, but is still clear in the xenon section. I noted that the Gargoyle's twinblade feels like it attacks slower than the others (both the standard one and the black one), but when in the off-hand and dual wielded with another twinblade (not a gargoyle's twinblade) it attacks at the normal dual wield speed. These two photos show why the xenon light is still one to have around and comes into play when working with lighter colors, especially white.
Also the muti hit property it has is only useful to apply status effects since it does so little damage, that and fighting off crowds in PvE. Here are a few photos to show the comparison between the two, which are mainly the visibly different bulbs and colors of certain parts. Even with the quicker shutter speed, we can still easily see how the LED light washes out the white paint more and makes us look a bit harder to see the swirl marks. Besides being a great light for exposing and highlighting swirls, it's also handy as a flashlight for around the house, in the car or on a camping trip.
They can counter lighter weapons quite handily and even stand up to bigger weapons with shield grease and barricade shield. Greatshields can be modified by Ashes of War, allowing you to change their Skill and their Damage Reductions when Blocking.Greatshields, while guarding, also have the ability to cause a lot of attacks barring heavy guard-breaking ones to bounce off them, interrupting a lot of enemy combos and opening them up to guard counters. The first photo shows the reflection of the xenon spotlight on the door edge of a white Porsche Boxster. The Brinkmann Swirl Finder Light easily adjusts from one beam to two beams to increase or decrease the brightness. This also synergizes well with their high innate Guard Boost, meaning your guards consume very little Stamina.
I didn't spend too much time using twinblades, but they offer a refreshing change of pace without feeling boring or overpowered. The in-laws brought over a pile of dead battery and burnt out lamp maglights and asked me to set them up with some lights that will work /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.
Two powerful Xenon bulbs produce a high intensity beam of light so you can easily spot imperfections. A car's paint finish can look great in the shade or indoors but under the intense scrutiny of the swirl finder light, all of the imperfections are revealed. It has a metal swivel hook to enable you to hang it up inside your garage or inside your detailing rig.
Managed to find an Eclipse Crest Greatshield by farming the headless knight in front of black knife catacombs in Liurnia (in front of the location as one of the black knight assassin bosses).Also worth noting that the offhand chain is worse (slower) than the mainhand chain in spite of them looking very similar, which is unfortunate. Seppuku being nerfed is also a good thing for twinblades, now freeing up more AoW choices since you don't have to rebuff and heal every few minutes. Its fast enough to use against most bosses and its reach and moveset trivializes not only groups of trash mobs but also really hard-to-hit enemies like Black Knife Assassins. The biggest difference between the two off the bat, is that the Xenon flashlight is easier to look at when inspecting due to its reduced light output (lower lumen rating) and its wider light spectrum. So it’s fairly obvious how the LED light is just simply better at providing more direct light to allow us to easily see swirl marks regardless of whether we’re looking straight at the reflection of the light or further away from it.
