Sample products are made as a representation of the finished product and are usually only made in one or two sizes. They don't sag down from my ankles keeping me warm and keeping walking easy but do require a bit more effort to get on over my heals. The Pertex Microlight shell and PrimaLoft Gold insulation make these booties more water-resistant than most, and the brushed-fleece lining is soft against bare feet, in case you want to let those dirty socks air out. The Hypalon panel on the sole of the sock ensures that the Prism Bootie stands up to some pretty rough treatment around the hut. Please do not use the `Remember me` option if using a computer with public access or that is used by more than one person.

You don’t really expect a tight or exact fit in a bootie that is intended for relaxing around camp, but you do expect that it will not be so loose that you walk out of them on the one hand, nor do you expect that they will fit tightly and snugly like a sock that is stretchable and your nominal size. I’d gotten used to Montane gear being top notch in design and material, but they’ve really dropped the ball with this one.They are not as thick as my Baffin Boots and so not as warm, but they have rubber soles, whereas my Baffin Boots had polyester soles. I do not expect booties to be a full-on walking shoe, since their primary purpose is to relax my feet after a hard day. This allows my feet to rest from the beating they take from the approach (no matter how comfortable the approach footwear is), and in winter, to stay comfortably warm.
