About this deal

In a follow-up letter, they wrote: “We understand that our decision to start serving meat on our menu may come as quite a shock to people, it certainly did to us. The other three - Dan, Luke and Guy - have their own careers - but are “heavily involved” in the business. Christmas and family occasions are always busy for the McAvoy clan - and all 11 of the brothers, sisters, their spouses and their collective 28 children head back to their parents’ house in Weaste on Christmas morning for breakfast in a long-held tradition that sees some SIXTY people cramming in to celebrate with mum Freda, 78, and dad Eric, 81. The partnership with Aldi had been “a fantastic opportunity for Seven Brothers”, said the brewer’s CEO, Keith McAvoy. Highlights include Higher Ground scooping Newcomer of the Year (on the same day they received a Bib Gourmand from Michelin), Fat Pat’s nabbing Food Trader of the Year, and Erst taking home the coveted Restaurant of the Year Award.

Despite a global pandemic and the incredible hardships faced by most in the hospitality industry, the Greater Mancunian McAvoy brothers have gone from strength to strength since launching - and have more than held their own over the past 18 months. SEVEN BRO7HERS was founded in 2014 by McAvoy brothers, Guy, Keith, Luke, Daniel, Nathan, Kit, and Greg, inspired by their dad’s home-brewing in their cellar at home. McAvoy brothers Guy, 56, Keith, 49, Luke, 44, Daniel, 43, Nathan, 41, Kit, 36 and Greg, 34, started their brewery in 2014 - inspired by their dad’s home-brewing efforts in their cellar over the years. All four sisters have full time jobs - as well as being mums to a brood of 13 children between them!Keith added: “We have operated in the same brewery since 2017 — we are now nearing operational capacity. That's more than 100 people pulling the perfect SEVEN BRO7HERS pint across the North West and Yorkshire. Seven Brothers is an award winning brewery based in Salford, Manchester ran by seven brothers and extended team. It has stood them in good stead to start their own businesses - with the four sisters now following in their brothers’ footsteps with the gin brand.

The new site will house a brewhouse, custom-made distillery, packaging, and operations, as well as an onsite taproom and restaurant. Winner – Bundobust, Oxford Street Bundobust took home Plant Based Offering of the Year at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards.Having been turned down by several High Street banks they approached the Hub’s Access to Finance team. The business is now also supplying to bars and pubs across Manchester and has so far created three jobs, with more to come. The Crowdcube push will initially allow the brewery to increase volume and packaging speed at its current site in Salford, where it has operated since 2017.

Keith McAvoy, CEO of SEVEN BRO7HERS, said: “We are so pleased to finally be launching our MediaCityUK space after months of waiting for covid restrictions to ease. Keith added: “That’s symptomatic of this industry - just as we are really close-knit siblings, the community pulled together during Covid.Lucy, who runs her own events management company as well as being a mum-of-two, says: “At first it started as a bit of sibling rivalry, we saw the boys doing the beer and thought oh ok fine we’ll go off and do something together then.

A lot of it was based around this idea of the brew pub - you'd go into a bar and there was a brewery at the back behind glass. Using their less-than-perfect cerelas that don't quite make the box, we can create excellent beers with exciting flavours. Businesses in Manchester city centre are also struggling with the list of high profile closures including Northern Quarter institution Black Dog Ballroom, Ardale food market favourite Hong Thai, and Lola Lo bar and club on Deansgate Locks. The Seven Bro7hers Brewery has been a huge success for the McAvoy brothers over the past four years - and now their sisters are getting in on the act by starting their own gin distillery with their Four Sis4ers Gin brand. They’re the proud Salford brothers who together run a successful brewing company - and are seven-elevenths of what is the “biggest bunch of siblings in booze”.
