The Aerox 9 is much lighter by comparison, but in actual gaming, where it heavily matters, I need to be able to reach all the buttons without having to readjust my grip. To be clear, I've had this mouse for 4 days and have been playing games such as Guild Wars 2, Slay the Spire, X-Com 2, Control, FFXIV, and Divinity Original Sin 2. While I'm not a honeycomb advocate, the fact that major companies such as SteelSeries have adopted the design speaks for itself. That's on par with our favorite MMO mouse, the Razer Naga Pro, but it's right on the cusp of too many buttons—it can be difficult to keep track of your position on the keypad and what each button does, since there are no tactile markers to help you find your place without looking. Having access to a large number of functions can be helpful in a lot of fast-paced competitive games, in addition to the usual MMOs and other RPGs.We've moved several minor tests into different test groups, removed the Travel usage, and added a new Raw Performance usage. Today we’re looking at two new mice, the Aerox 5 Wireless and Aerox 9 Wireless, both incredibly similar, sharing the same chassis, processor, sensor and body, the only major difference being the thumb button layout – the Aerox 5 sports only 5 buttons here, in a unique layout, while the Aerox 9 is aimed firmly at MMO/MOBA fans, or those who love a good macro. We’re a team of passionate gamers and we're building an enthusiast hardware community that's growing every single day. Figuring out which button is which purely by touch is difficult as all the buttons are relatively flat.

The SteelSeries Aerox 5 Wireless and the SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless are visually similar mice from the same lineup. To be blunt, the buttons are far too wide and the design of the angular buttons makes reaching them with a thumb difficult and strenuous.Ergonomic 18-button programmable layout with a 12-button side panel made for quick access to abilities and macros, in an easy-to-learn design. new': False, 'is_limited': False, 'members_only': False, 'early_access': False, 'web_exclusive': False, 'name': 'Wireless Extension Adapter', 'options': [], 'description': None, 'url': '/gaming-accessories/wireless-extension-adapter', 'main_item_sku': '60247', 'bestseller_factor': Decimal('2. The Razer has two additional buttons, and you can adjust the CPI more precisely within a slightly wider range. In Engine, you have the ability to reassign all 18 buttons, create macros, customize new dpi presets, and adjust the RGB lighting.
