About this deal

Sure Wax goes on another exciting adventure, but this was Steris’ breakout book if you like: it was the book in which the true nature of her character was revealed. I am of course not going to be including spoilers but I will say that I felt very differently about Steris by the end of the book and the technology and other new elements were fantastic.

It was published on January 26, 2016, by Tor Books and is the third book in the Wax and Wayne series and sixth in the Mistborn series.Since then he has written the Mistborn series, amongst others, become a NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author and been hailed as the natural successor to Robert Jordan. There were some things I predicted like Wax's two faced sister and things that took me so much by surprise that I found myself exclaiming out loud ‘WHAT! If you’re still not (thinking of) reading this (or maybe have only read the first three books), please check out my reviews of the previous books and join me as a *Bran. With The Alloy of Law and Shadows of Self, Brandon Sanderson surprised readers with a New York Times bestselling spinoff of his Mistborn books, set after the action of the trilogy, in a period corresponding to late 19th-century America. In addition to storing all the basic attributes of Feruchemy, it also grants the user the ability to use Allomancy.

It's really been a very long while since I was this taken by a female character and I applaud Sanderson for nailing it this time-a woman who is "so full of logic and yet so full of wonder at the same time".Wax glanced over his shoulder, noting a tall man in a dark brown suit and bow tie pushing between a pair of constables. The group sets course for the temple, hoping they can reach it before Edwarn Ladrian and his expedition team do. I mean, once you start reading Sanderson's books, you just give up on even trying to guess what the plot twits are, because he's leagues ahead. They do learn, however, that there is a strange project going on in the nearby town of Dulsing, connected to the Set. Allik and his people were also seeking the Bands of Mourning, which are hidden at a temple in a nearby mountain range, when they crashed and were taken by the Set.

I found Steris to be an endearing character, especially after knowing much more about her personality in The Bands of Mourning. This is my favorite novel of the second Mistborn series so far, and I am eagerly anticipating the next. There is the threat of civil war in the air as the cities outside of Elendil resent the taxes and controls that are imposed on them. Seriously people, if you're on the hedge about whether to start this series or not — GET 👏 TO👏 IT 👏.Apart from the obligatory Hoid appearance we are shown more of the world and how these discoveries will facilitate the binding together of the Cosmere (a hint of which, I believe, was referenced in Sixth of the Dusk. I've read every book in the Cosmere universe by Sanderson so far, and I think Wax and Wayne are my favorite pairing of them all.
