Reading and music are, apart from people, two of my favourite diversions… it’s rare that I get treated to both a new story and new music at the same time.

So, when Kate leaves San Diego to attend college in the small town of Grant, Minnesota, the last thing she expects is to fall hard for Keller Banks. The numbers 1-5 are too simplistic of a way to describe my feelings on this book so I won't rate it.

More importantly, she has a big secret that she's been keeping from everyone she loves, which she knows will ruin everything.

This story made me swoon, it made my heart soar, it made me laugh, it made me sob, it devastated me and it inspired me and it wrecked me!

Now that I’ve finished it, the first thing that popped up in my mind was well, that wasn’t what I expected. Kate was the “bright side” throughout the entire book, making friends with people who needed it, trying to help those who couldn’t be brave enough for themselves. When the child eventually enters school, they quickly run afoul of classroom rules and find themselves friendless, but they also find that they possess imagination, resilience, and the power to define ‘the bright side’ for themselves .

I can’t share the title quite yet but, it’s about a little guy who really, really doesn’t like messiness of any kind. Gus was the lead singer of Rook, a group at the brink of greatness and Kate knew it was his time to make his dreams come true.

Felt like the author was trying to meet a high word count and was just adding a lot of unnecessary things to meet that . She falls in love with a guy, who's a father in his 21 years, whose wife died 4 years ago, meaning he had his daughter when he was 15-16. Before long she finds herself in a whirlwind romance that seems too good to be true–until a series of devastating events leaves her questioning everything.Kate was shy so she just remained in the back ground, but all she wanted in life was for Gus to succeed and she would push him all the way.
