About this deal

This stuff is quite alright by me, for whatever my opinion is worth (please don't wear things just to appeal to women, that's lame. Anisic aldehydes keep things wet, fresh and a little bitter for the first couple of hours, easing in to a pleasant powdery-soapy-waxy continuum that emerges as a skin scent with a ghost of clean laundry musk.

That being said, the medallion bottles of the lotion from the seventies and eighties are remarkable. The likes of Davidoff and Aramis would have been seen as a luxury item for a society just getting by financially.

It's meant to be an EDT but it feels more like an EDC and I believe this is because of the reformulation. Top notes are Lavender, Anise, Bergamot, Basil and Lemon; middle notes are Geranium, Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are Oakmoss, Patchouli, Vetiver, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood and Vanilla. It's one of the very few fragrances that I wear just for me because of all the great memories and it still gets tons of compliments. I can't say I'll wear vintage Brut often (nor 33), but once it a while I can appreciate it, as the composition works for me, though not being a favorite (and I've got so many others to chose from that are favorites). some of the reviewers here have already stated, what Brut actually is: perhaps the most iconic, distinctive, and beautiful DNA for men ever created.

The bad-boy reputation suggests your pimp Brut is getting most of the attention, leaving you to do the dirty work. Whenever you wear your beloved la nuit,Dior homme or le male you should give a big shout-out to the BRUT. unless you need a fragrance to help you chop wood, skin a deer, and then cook the family dinner over a roaring campfire, then defend the family from a pack of ravenous wolves with your bare hands. So out of fashion it's in fashion ideal for work as it doesn't project much and most ladies seem to love it as it makes you remind them of their grandads.Avoid the "Special Reserve EdT" at all costs, it is terrible and shouldn't have the name Brut on the bottle. It is part of the foundation of masculine perfumery and it is difficult to imagine that it might not exist one day.

My first encounter with it was in high school when some classmates of mine would spray themselves whit it, after physical lol. The back of the bottle still reads "Parfums Prestige" AND Unilever, which owns the European license to this fragrance. On the contrary, Brut remains classy and just as stunning today as it did when it first was launched in 1968.
